Boundless Energy

I had solar panels put on through Adam Joseph at Boundless Energy, trying to get in before the tax credit ends (as many are). I started my search in August, signed on with Boundless in September, and had them installed Sep 29th. That was all fairly smooth, Adam was clearly busy with many other customers so it was sometimes hard to get ahold of him, but would follow up in a day or so. Boundless Energy uses Freedom Forever as an installer, and does the majority of the work, paperwork, inspections, etc. They did a quality job, installed quality panels, were fast, courteous, competent. The moment the panels are installed is when the money is due. So I pay a bunch of money and don't hear anything for weeks. By end of Oct I begin to reach out to Adam about next steps, and don't hear anything. I increase my communication from weekly to daily in an effort to get any useful response but it doesn't help. I then go over his head to talk to Freedom Forever. Equally frustrating experience, they are a big company so no one works in the same building, getting anything resolved takes days of waiting as they process internal tickets to communicate with their own colleagues. Everything is so heavily protocoled and structured it's hard to get anything through to the people who matter, quickly. So I now call Freedom Forever daily, I don't bother calling Boundless Energy anymore, and am working through the process. It's a shame but it feels like the moment my check cleared, Boundless Energy was done trying to help. Turns out Freedom Forever put the cart before the horse, installed my panels before the paperwork was approved by my utilities company. That completely blew up the standard process and is why my timeline suffered. They are so structured there they seem to freeze when something non-standard comes through. Still struggling to get them to move on things. Still don't have my panels hooked up to the grid in mid-December.

I had a good experience with Boundless/Freedom and was looking forward to solar panels being installed on my roof. However, it turned out there was a costly transformer upgrade needed to accommodate my system and I was forced to cancel the solar project. The company refunded my entire deposit quickly with no fuss.

I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to have my solar panels installed period to Dec. 31 2025. But I've been producing solar energy since the 31st of September, and I started this entire process in August. Had a good experience with Boundless Energy, and would highly recommend them!
