Enact Solar

I contracted with Enact Solar in October 2025 for the design and installation of a residential solar storage system and paid three installments per the payment schedule. The installation was scheduled for December 29, 2025. No crew appeared, and no work was ever performed at my property. I later learned that Enact had failed to pay its installer, Bright Energy, for work completed on other projects. Bright Energy refused to perform my installation as a result. It was an internal dispute between the two companies that I had no part in and no ability to resolve. Enact did not notify me of the situation or the delay in writing as required by the contract. Despite knowing that no installation would occur, Enact continued to send invoices demanding payment for the fourth and final installment — including invoices issued after the scheduled installation date had passed with no crew, no work, and no explanation. When I terminated the agreement for cause and requested a refund, Enact refused, asserting a cancellation fee with no itemized documentation of any costs incurred or work performed. Resolution required months of effort, initiating formal arbitration proceedings, and suing in small claims court. It is also worth noting that Enact does not hold a California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license — something any homeowner considering a solar contract should verify before signing. I certainly wish I had done so. I would not recommend doing business with Enact Solar.
