We are very pleased with IRBIS. They installed a new heat pump water heater, HVAC heat pump and did some electrical work in our garage. They were very courteous, professional and efficient. The installation was very well done and their rebate department has been very helpful assisting us in obtaining rebates for the new equipment.

I had an excellent experience with IBRIS. My advisor, Tim Surinsuk, was very knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He provided a very competitive quote—while I did receive lower quotes elsewhere, Tim’s proposal stood out because it was thorough, included everything, and never compromised on quality. Tim was also proactive in explaining everything in great detail and making sure I understood exactly what I was getting, which gave me a lot of confidence in moving forward. The installation was handled by Rigoberto Rosales, who was professional and meticulous in his work. The entire system—electrical, wiring, air handler and heat pump—was installed neatly and with great attention to detail. When the team couldn’t find a drain, they did an really good job rerouting it. Throughout the process, they kept me informed on progress and timelines. What really impressed me was their commitment after the job was done. The next morning, my water heater didn’t turn on because it had been turned off during the install. Even though I had already paid in full, Rigoberto came back first thing in the morning to fix it. That level of service shows they truly stand by their work and care about their customers, not just until the sale is closed. I highly recommend IBRIS for HVAC installation—they’re professional, reliable, and go above and beyond to ensure everything is done right.

First worked with IRBIS a few years back to get my old AC serviced which itself was pretty comprehensive and complete. That old AC had acted up after about almost 20 years of regular use, especially the last few years. Came time to take on the expensive replacement project but out of all the estimates, IRBIS made it seamless on top of giving one of the best priced quotes along with detailing the whole install/permit process...no brainer to go with them. During install, I even took them up on their offer to get some portable ACs set up as my install happened to fall during a heat wave. The install of my new AC/furnace replacement (a heat pump) took place over about a day and a half and was just about as easy as can be. Communication was a breeze with their dedicated text line with the project manager to be able to readily answer any questions/concerns I had that came up. I can't recommend them enough for your repairs or big replacement project.

Very happy and satisfied with a new HVAC Carrier Heat Pump installed by IRBIS team. The team lead by Dmitry and 3 other qualified technicians arrived in two vans and did a great professional job quickly in one day for my house new Heat Pump installed. A technician José also worked me through the new Ecobee thermostat usage and the installed equipment. They throughly cleaned up well after work was done. For sure, will come back to IRBIS team for any future HVAC service needs.

So I did what ChatGPT recommended and obtained three estimates to replace an old A/C unit and gas furnace with a Heat Pump. You should definitely get a minimum of three estimates because you can learn something useful from each one of them. I also tried to obtain two estimates from smaller outfits, but failed. They just never followed up. Some advantages of a larger firm like Irbis: Excellent follow-up! The first estimate I obtained was from someone that had installed a system in my parents home around 7 years ago. They did a very professional job. Their estimate was 39% higher than Irbis for the exact same system: a 5 ton Carrier Variable Speed Heat Pump and Air Handler. The second estimate was from Irbis. As I mentioned, they also recommended I use a 5 Ton Carrier heat pump. The third estimate was someone that primarily installed Trane systems, but also gave me a quote for a Bryant (Toyota of Carrier). Their equivalent Trane system to the Carrier was $10K more expensive. Yes, it had better room temperature control, but not worth an additional $10K. You're also limited to fewer HVAC repair companies. Almost all can easily support Carrier (parts and service). They did offer a 6 speed Trane system that was the same price as the Irbis quote, but not a Variable speed. It also did not have seperate system to defrost the unit in the winter when it might have to reverse energy from producing hot air in the house to producing cold air to de-ice the coils. The Bryant quote was $6K more than the Irbis equivalent Carrier system and did not include a new return duct or platform. Remember, Carrier is the Lexus and Bryant is the Toyota. This was one useful bit of information I learned from this vendor. But when I approached Irbis about this possible problem, they explained the Carrier system had a built in defroster so there was no need to reverse the pump. Reversing the pump can result in temporary cold air in the winter mornings instead of warm air. The third vendor also recommended a 4 ton system since my return duct was not large enough to handle a 5 ton system. Another bit of useful information. When I approached Irbis about this they agreed and gave me a new quote (again very reasonable cost) to add a new larger return duct and reduced the system to a 4 ton unit. This saves not only money short term, but long term since it takes less energy to run a 4 ton system. Just make sure you're not undersizing the system. In my case, mild temperatures and we don't like it too hot in the winter or too cold in the summer, a 4 ton system is perfect. The third vendor also recommended using a condensate pump to remove water to a prefered location since heat pumps can produce a significant amount of condensate. Irbis had already included this in the quote and also offered a much cleaner and professional installation compared to what vendor #3 suggested. So it's pretty obvious I went with Irbis. The technicians that did the installation were amazing! Very hard working, focused and extremely professional. They took great pride in the quality of their work. It was an awesome experience. One of the most important factors that ChatGPT found regarding customer satisfaction was how well the installation went. It was more important than which HVAC system was installed. I highly recommend Irbis for their professionalism, over communication, and a fair price. But get at least three quotes and find out for yourself. P.S. Vendor #1 and #3 did not get permits or help you with getting rebates, which require permits and inspection. This process is seamless with Irbis! They do all the work for you!
