Our 28 year-old gas furnace had begun acting up, so after a quick web search we contacted IRBIS to inspect & repair it. The inspection & diagnostics were thorough, and in the course of discussing repair options & we opted to engage IRBIS to quote replacing the furnace with a heat pump. New home gas furnace installations will be prohibited in CA in a year or 2, so moving to a heat pump was attractive, including the cooling it provides to deal with what looks like more extended heat waves in the Bay Area. The heat pump evaluation was super thorough, including discovering a seeping leak in a hot water T-joint which would have caused extensive damage if it progressed. We were presented with multiple options for heat pumps & new ducting and chose a Carrier Performance Series model. IRBIS provided a discount, incorporated rebates from the city, and coordinated 3-party testing of the ducting & city approval. Installation was mostly done by 2 technicians with some assistance from electrical techs. Installation took 5 days, instead of the normal 3-4, due to some challenges fitting the air handler in the space of the old furnace & routing coolant lines & electrical connections. All work was done with care & professionally, and Pablo & Jose were friendly & willing to answer our questions & consult with us. They even provided electric heaters to tide us over since the weather had turned cold. The heat pump was turned on earlier today & so far it is working well. I recommend IRBIS to anyone in the SF Bay Area who is need of HVAC services. They are a very responsive & certified Carrier provider.

IRBIS installed my Rheem Proterra Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) on 12/23/25. They filed for all the rebates from Federal, state, local government and my electricity service provider. This saved me about $7,000 and made the entire process much easier for me. There was an unforseen challenge when my primary shower did not provide hot water after the installation. However, after the Christmas break, they came by and determined it was the regulator in the shower's thermostatic mixing valve, and I again had hot water. From the original IRBIS Sales/Tech representative who determined my small water heater closet could nonetheless be large enough for a HPWH, to the project manager, to the installation technicians, to the customer support, IRBIS was very focused on making sure I was totally satisfied with the process, installation, and service, from beginning to end!

We are very pleased with IRBIS. They installed a new heat pump water heater, HVAC heat pump and did some electrical work in our garage. They were very courteous, professional and efficient. The installation was very well done and their rebate department has been very helpful assisting us in obtaining rebates for the new equipment.

The next morning, my water heater didn’t turn on because it had been turned off during the install. Even though I had already paid in full, Rigoberto came back first thing in the morning to fix it. That level of service shows they truly stand by their work and care about their customers, not just until the sale is closed. First worked with IRBIS a few years back to get my old AC serviced which itself was pretty comprehensive and complete. That old AC had acted up after about almost 20 years of regular use, especially the last few years. Came time to take on the expensive replacement project but out of all the estimates, IRBIS made it seamless on top of giving one of the best priced quotes along with detailing the whole install/permit process...no brainer to go with them. During install, I even took them up on their offer to get some portable ACs set up as my install happened to fall during a heat wave. The install of my new AC/furnace replacement (a heat pump) took place over about a day and a half and was just about as easy as can be. Communication was a breeze with their dedicated text line with the project manager to be able to readily answer any questions/concerns I had that came up. I can't recommend them enough for your repairs or big replacement project.

Very happy and satisfied with a new HVAC Carrier Heat Pump installed by IRBIS team. The team lead by Dmitry and 3 other qualified technicians arrived in two vans and did a great professional job quickly in one day for my house new Heat Pump installed. A technician José also worked me through the new Ecobee thermostat usage and the installed equipment. They throughly cleaned up well after work was done. For sure, will come back to IRBIS team for any future HVAC service needs.
