Affordable Solar

Recently, we had twelve solar panels installed on our home by Affordable Solar. The salesman, Troy McGee, was very knowledgeable and answered all or our questions. We were also interested in getting Powerwall batteries installed. Troy explained that these batteries are running behind in delivery and that now might not be a good time to install them anyways since a newer more capable version will be coming out soon and more options may be available from other manufactures as well in a year's time. He recommended waiting a year and we followed his advice and will be contacting Affordable Solar next year about getting batteries and will be happy to work with them again. The project manager assigned to our case, Annie Montoya, was very easy to work with and kept us promptly informed about all stages of our projects. The installers were also very professional and did the work in a timely manner with a minimum of fuss. We have been very pleased with our system since, especially the Enphase app that we can use from our computer or smart phone to monitor individual panel performance as well as the aggregate electrical generation.

We are very pleased with the solar panels we got from Affordable Solar. They were very communicative throughout the whole process and things went smoothly. We got proposals from a couple of companies and we liked Affordable Solar's design the best. It was also about 25% less expensive than the other proposal we got and they were able to schedule the installation sooner. We worked with Troy on the proposal and he was great at getting all of our questions answered. After we accepted the proposal, Annie, the project manager, did a great job of coordinating everything and keeping us informed about the process. We got our roof replaced before getting the solar panels installed and there was a delay with the roofing materials. But Affordable Solar was great about working on the approvals for our system while we were all waiting on the roofing company to finish the roof. By the time the roof was done, the solar panels were approved and they were installed very quickly once our house was ready for them! The installation was quick and took less than two days. The installers were also great to work with. We had a specific place where we wanted them to run the electrical conduit and they did it just the way we wanted it. Overall, we're very happy with our new system! It's nice to look at the app each day and see how much electricity we've produced!

These guys made the whole process from beginning to end so darn simple, especially for someone like me that didn't have much of a technical understanding of what I needed before I began.

After getting multiple estimates, I chose to go with Affordable Solar for a number of reasons. First of all, I liked that unlike most solar companies, the financing option didn't include a lien on my house and instead went through a local credit union. It was also important to me that Affordable Solar is a local company. Furthermore, I used price per kWh when comparing prices, and Affordable Solar was the best price of the five companies met with. At this point, I'm very pleased with my choice to get solar with Affordable Solar. The installation process was very smooth and they kept me updated throughout, including quickly responding to my many, many questions. And one more added bonus - as I explained to my sales rep, Troy, I wanted solar for the clean energy but I think the panels look so ugly on the roof, but I can't see my panels at all without going on the roof!

After receiving 3 quotes from separate companies we decided to go with Affordable Solar based on several reasons. The expertise and ability to answer the many questions we had at the initial consultation fully and in a manner we could understand. The quote was prepared very well and compared to the other 2 companies we were quoted on it was clear the solution offered by Affordable Solar was superior. There was very good communication from Affordable at all stages of the project and every member of staff we came in to contact with from the installers to the electrician were courteous, left the job site in great condition and were rally easy to work with. We are very happy with the system and would choose Affordable Solar again. We have no hesitation in recommending Affordable Solar to anyone contemplating having Solar installed. Justin, who was our sales rep, has a wealth of industry knowledge which he communicates in easy to understand terms. Even after installation Justin has been very responsive and has helped us with problems and questions that were not his or his company's responsibility.
