I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service provided by Sunnova . I was charged approximately $8,500 for the removal and reinstallation of solar panels due to the condition that using a private contractor would void the system warranty. This was in conjunction with replacing my shingle roof with a metal one.
Despite the significant cost, the installation process took over four months. The workers assigned to the project lacked experience with metal roofing, resulting in visible scratches and damage to the newly installed roof. This is unacceptable, especially considering the roof was brand new.
Furthermore, the installation was incomplete. Essential brackets were not attached to the solar panels, compromising both safety and functionality. I have filed two case numbers: one for the damage to the roof and another for the missing brackets. To date, I have received no resolution or meaningful response from SUNNOVA.
It is important to note that Sunnova guarantees coverage in the event of damage to the roof or solar panels caused during service. I cannot recommend Sunnova.

Horrible Company
I wish this company nothing but bad things. I hope they fail and then fail more. Terrible company, terrible product, terrible service. Nothing but hate for them.

Don’t even talk to anyone from this company
Worst business I’ve ever associated with, non existent customer service, 3rd party repair contracting, months out service waits. Too expensive, just pay your utility bill.

Worst company ever
I moved into my condo last year December 2024. I have reached out to Sunnova customer service a total of 20 plus times in regards to activating my System. Sunnova transfers me to a supposedly manager and they always have the same response “We will have your system up and running in no time”. Now 8 months later and nothing has happen in their end. If you are looking into a Solar panel system for your home please avoid Sunnova the worst experience ever.

Worst customer service
Didn’t transfer the title on time leading to delay in closing the escrow of the property that had Sunnova installed. Should have researched better before going for sunnova.
Still hasn’t done the work on time.

Poor solar unit service
I contacted customer service May 2 when I saw that my APS bill showed that almost no energy was sold to APS. I was told that my inverter was faulty and I would be contacted to set up an appointment to replace it. I did not receive a call. I called again on May 14 and was told that I would be contacted for an appointment. One more call with the same response and no call back to set up an appointment. Today, I was finally able to get an appointment on July 25.
During this time, Sunnova continued to charge me for my solar lease. I just received my APS bill for $225 with no energy being sold. Very disappointed
in customer service.
