When my system was installed, it needed to know its precise location. The installers entered the wrong GPS coordinates. That took several months to fix. Then the next year, the system failed because a rodent chewed a cable. That took 2 months to fix. Now the system has not been producing for over 3 weeks. The phone rep had me flip breakers (which I had already done). Later a woman visited the site and flipped the breakers again. Today a rep called after he was supposed to be here to tell me he was not coming. He said the office would call to reschedule. When the office did not call, I called to be told she would not reschedule.

GSS made the design and pricing easy and clear. After starting the project, they managed all paperwork smoothly. The installation was great, with careful and clean installers. The system looks good and seems to work well, but it was installed in October, a low solar production time, so we can't fully comment on its output. We're confident it will perform well. However, there's an unresolved issue for now ongoing for 5+ months since installation in mid-October 2022. We have an Enphase system. The consumption meter (CTs) were not properly installed, causing the Enphase app to misreport power data. This doesn't affect production but completely breaks real-time monitoring. We reported this issue shortly after going live. GSS did not show for the service appointment they booked with us to address this issue and we have experienced several significant delays waiting for some action to be taken. In January 2023 GSS could fix this via a software change, which didn't work. When we reported that at the end of January, we were told they'd get back to us in a month for next steps. Considering it's not affecting production, we understand our issue may not be a top service priority. Still, our customer service experience hasn't been great, and it makes us wonder how any future issues will be handled. ---- March 30, 2023 Update: I edited this review for readability. Also, our 2023 bills are tracking upwards in a major way, further confirming our confidence in the future performance of our system. Regarding GSS service, the consumption metering was finally fixed today with a service call. We are pleased to have everything working as designed now. Communication was poor throughout that waiting period and this should be a focus for future improvement. It takes a minute to compose an email or make a call.

We are going into our third summer with an 8 KWH rooftop system installed by Granite State Solar. The system is performing as promised, and the installation has been trouble-free, with the exception of one connection to a microinverter that worked loose, but was fixed quickly. Staff has always been responsive to my questions. We are now considering adding an Enphase 10 KWH battery to the system.

I was very pleased with this company,everything that was said was completed in a very professional manner. Every question answered quickly and politely. It was a pleasure doing bussiness the old fashioned way.

We found their no pressure approach perfect for such an important decision. They always responded promptly to our questions as well.

After previous failed attempts at going solar we were skeptical, but GSS made the process very simple and transparent. They handled all the paperwork with the State and power company which was a great help. The installation of our system was completed in just one day and the crew were all very friendly, professional and on task all day. A few days later the power company installed our net meter and we’ve been making power every since! The system is operating exactly as they explained it would and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with GSS. The Stark Family Grantham, NH July 2017
