While shopping for solar installers, I wanted to save money without inviting headaches or sacrificing quality. The Solar Guys made that decision easy — including on price. Our sales rep, Brian B., had thoughtful answers to every question and communicated quickly and clearly. After a couple months of operation, our system is performing exactly as he said it would. Jeff, the drone operator, was skilled, informative, and genuinely excited about his work. After installation, I realized just how many perks I gained — and how many problems I avoided — by choosing The Solar Guys. For example, our roof sags above the garage due to foundation issues, right where the panels were going. Soren and George worked patiently and meticulously to adjust the panels so they sit in a perfectly flat plane. Every time I pull into the driveway, I’m grateful for that level of care. Jereme, the electrician, also had his work cut out for him. Our main disconnect runs through a manual transfer switch for a gas generator, which made the job more complex than a typical install. The solar components also had to fit into a cramped area already crowded with utility lines. I used to install cable for apartment complexes, so I know how easy it is to hide sloppy work. Jereme did the opposite — he mounted every component and routed every wire with such precision that it felt like watching an artist at work. He even took on the much harder option of fishing conduit through a tight attic space between a vaulted ceiling and the roof, rather than running piping along the exterior of the house — which I would’ve happily accepted. The end result is clean, invisible, and genuinely impressive. He even returned the next day to finish, not because he cut corners the first day, but because our house kept throwing curveballs (and maybe because we spent 45 minutes talking about dogs when he arrived). After install, Michelle kept me, Evergy, and the county inspectors perfectly coordinated. I know how confusing that process can be, but she communicated promptly each time something moved forward and shared my concern about getting everything running before year’s end. When inspection day came, the city gave us a four-hour window during which both a homeowner and an installer tech needed to be present. Knowing how unpredictable inspectors can be, The Solar Guys sent a technician who sat in his van from noon to 3pm just so we wouldn’t miss the appointment. Unheard of. I know this is long, but I love my home and deeply appreciate the care this team put into it. We aren’t wealthy; this solar installation was a leap for us that we hope pays off long-term. If we’d chosen anyone other than The Solar Guys, I think I’d be second-guessing the decision. Instead, we’re thrilled. Thank you.

This is the best solar company to help you with your solar project. I researched 5 different companies and spoke with each of them about my project. Solar Guys were very competitive with pricing, but their customer service and professionalism even included sending Jeff a professional drone operator to map out the roof and determine optimal panel placement for the sun and nearby trees. But it all started with Brian Buffington in sales who never tried to upsell me and answered all questions about the process without pressure. I’d recommend working with him for his character and transparent discussions. He never promised something the company couldn’t back up. In fact, he called the owner to make sure a specific part of the project was possible instead of telling me what I wanted to hear. Michelle, their program manager, sent me text updates and was very responsive to all my questions, even outside of business hours. The owner, Jesse, even called directly when there was a problem getting a specific panel and offered a solution that allowed the project to stay on track and increased the solar power output for the same price. He was personable and showed how much their company cared about customer service. Jereme came out and started the electrical work and answered all my questions and took time to explain things to me. These are the kind of people you would want as neighbors. Then the installers (Kyle & Brad) came and finished the panel installation the second day and cleaned up before they left. The power generated in just a few minutes of turning it on was more than my house was using with the A/C on a hot day. My neighbors have already commented how much they like the look of the solar panel installation. I never thought I would hear that about seeing solar panels. I whole-heartedly recommend Solar Guys. I used the Solar Guys to install a set of solar panels on my home. They had not only the lowest of 3 bids, but top-quality panels and inverters (Enphase, 450-watt panels, & no Chinese stuff). The process was executed smoothly and powered up seamlessly, with the some wait times due to the city applications and inspections and waiting on the utility meter. Brian was the salesman, but he was really just there to tell me how the entire process worked & as a resource during the process; he really didn't push the sale at all.

Very happy with our experience with The Solar Guys. Great service and reasonable prices. We chose them because we felt they were more upfront and trustworthy than the other companies we talked to. We also liked that they explicitly listed the equipment in the contract and don’t use sub-contractors. All the installers were very friendly and did great work (Jereme, Addison, and Soren).

The solar guys were great beginning to end. The sales pitch was unaggressive and the crew top notch. They did everything they said they would do, and on time. Overall very easy to work with. In May we produced about a third more energy than we consumed. We highly recommend!
