I am posting this review to share my personal experience with 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric. Everything below reflects events that occurred in my home and my personal observations and opinions based on those events. My wife and I hired 128 Plumbing for an oil to gas conversion and related heating work, including the installation of a Lochinvar WHB 110 gas boiler. The total financed cost was approximately $25,371 after rebates, with an additional roughly $2,000 for a gas line related to a stove conversion. After the installation, we experienced repeated operational issues with the system. These included multiple boiler lockouts that resulted in periods without heat. When the system was running, temperatures in certain rooms were inconsistent. One bedroom used for sleeping experienced significant temperature fluctuations that made it difficult to maintain consistent comfort. During the course of the work and follow up visits, we also experienced several issues involving damage to our home and conditions that caused us concern. These included a flooded basement, a separate water leak that left the boiler room covered in water, a cracked kitchen countertop during the stove installation, and an issue where gas piping became detached from the ceiling and required correction. These events required additional visits and attention to address. Resolving these matters required numerous service appointments. Some visits addressed individual issues, while others required follow up, including an initially incomplete thermostat installation. Communication regarding quotes and next steps was, at times, delayed. The number of appointments required both my wife and me to miss work, which caused disruption to our household. At one point, the company asked us to delay posting a review while they attempted to resolve outstanding concerns. Based on that request, we continued working with them. We were informed that heating zones would be adjusted and bleeders added at no cost, and that we would receive quotes for ductless mini split systems at a discounted rate. Relying on this information, I hired another licensed contractor to address heating issues but canceled that work after being told that 128 Plumbing would complete the bleeder installation at no cost. The company ultimately agreed to complete rezoning work for one bedroom at no cost, as the temperature there had been difficult to maintain consistently. As part of discussions related to resolving remaining concerns, we were also asked to sign a non disclosure agreement. This review reflects our personal experience and opinions based on the services performed and the overall process. Due to the number, duration, and impact of the issues we encountered, we consider this a one star experience. We are sharing this so others can make an informed decision based on our experience.

I had a ductless mini split system installed mid-May 2022. I waited to comment until we had used the system enough to be able to comment on its value to us. I can happily report it has been used for both AC and now heating, and so far and we are satisfied with it. Jared S and Roger were the Technicians assigned to our installation, and they were wonderful, respectful and cleaned up after their work nicely. We did a little walk through on the usage of the remotes and how to clean filters, etc before they left. The office was also very helpful with start to finish from setting up the initial appointment, to assisting with Mass Save and they even initiated the rebate that was available. Big thumbs up to 128.
