Well-installed solar panels should never cause a roof leak. Engineers consider structural soundness and roof integrity when proposing, designing, and installing an array. Solar products are warrantied as is our work.
Bone Dry Solar offers a 10 Year Workmanship Warranty to our customers. Additionally, most inverters have a 10 year warranty (with the option to upgrade to a 25 year warranty), and panels and racking systems typically carry a 25 year warranty.
Yes, we are able to install ground and roof mount arrays for commercial properties like warehouses, schools, manufacturing facilities, etc.
Solar panels do work on cloudy days, just not as effectively as they would on a sunny day. Expect them to produce 10-25% of their normal power output, depending on the thickness of cloud cover.
No. Net metering went away July 1, 2022. Although some utilities still offer a type of net metering or net billing, the 1 for 1 payback is no longer active. Bone Dry Solar will not sell a system producing more than 100%.
In 2022, the Indiana state legislature passed a law to protect the property rights of Hoosiers who want to go solar. The law provides a clear path for homeowners in restrictive HOAs to get approval from their neighbors to install solar panels.

There is a lot to consider when deciding whether to go solar, beyond the potential savings you could achieve. We’ll jumpstart your solar journey with a Bone Dry Solar consultation, which will discuss the available space, the location, position and look of your home or business, your budget, and any limitations or restrictions. Our services include roof and ground-mount solar arrays, off-grid solar arrays, solar repairs and maintenance (including an annual maintenance service program), battery back-up and energy storage. We look forward to customizing a solution that fits your needs.

Successful removal and reinstall of solar panels

We purchased a home that needed a new roof but had an existing solar panel system that we wanted to keep. We used RCV Roofing in Bloomington for the roof replacement, and as part of the Bone Dry family, they referred us to Bone Dry Solar to remove and reinstall the panels. We had a large system but they were able to remove the system in half a day, and then reinstall on the new roof in one day. Jay was friendly and helpful throughout the process. The system came back on line immediately with no performance issues. We’re very happy with the job.

Highly Recommend Bone Dry

Working with Bone Dry Solar has been nothing but a positive experience from the start. The initial consultation was extremely thorough, helping us understand how we could best meet our electrical needs with solar. Once we decided to move forward with Solar, Bone Dry installed our system in a timely fashion. The installation crew was professional and friendly answering any questions we had along the way. I would highly recommend using Bone Dry Solar

Fast and courteous service

My original solar installer partnered with Bone Dry Solar, and despite not being their original work, they have fully supported my system from a maintenance, monitoring, and warranty standpoint. I had a flaky microinverter (under warranty), which was promptly taken care of, and they provided follow-up just like a good company should. I was nervous when the original installing company partnered with Bone Dry Solar, for fear of having poor service, but they have convinced me that great service is at the top of their list. My advice: Pick a Solar Installer with competitive prices and EXCELLENT customer service. You won't regret it.
