We recently completed the installation of a new PointGuard whole home battery for our home. We installed solar panels several years ago but I wasn’t happy with battery solutions at the time and decided to wait. After hurricane Milton it was time. After research, we decided PointGuard was the solution for us. We could find no installer in the Tampa Bay Area willing to consider it. A Fl distributor for PointGuard got me in touch with a PointGuard representative Sierra. She directed me to Astrowatt Solar Florida. Michael Cummings contacted me and was very helpful and responsive to all our questions during the sale cycle. After signing the agreement Rodrigo Canas managed the installation process. He was extremely responsive to all questions on permitting, product configuration, City of Largo permitting, ordering, delivery and installation and inspection process. It is designed to install in a day but the distributor didn’t ship a 200 amp breaker on the order. Installer did everything he could so he could complete the install quickly his next visit. The distributor had a driver from Orlando bring me the part that evening. Rodrigo handled the reschedule for installer to come back and complete it. We’ve had our battery in place for over a month now and know we made the right choice. Both with PointGuard and Astrowatt. I sincerely appreciate Rodrigo’s willingness to work with us even though we are in Largo 200 miles away from Jacksonville. When we are ready to acquire an electric or plug in hybrid car, we will add their bidirectional charger as well. I will be calling Rodrigo again at that time to order and install it.

The Astrawatt Solar, Ponte Vedra Fl office, provided a top notch system that was professionally designed and taylored to our situation and finances. Rodrigo Canas, general manager, adjusted the design several times as the system took shape and focused to the best fit to our needs and competive in pricing and quality to other bids. We have experience with 3 residential installs and subsidized 2 installs from other companies and after our experience with Astrawatt, will continue to use them in future jobs. Rodrigo has demonstrated solar engineering expertise and business integrity throughout the process. He takes responsibility for subcontractors and suppliers. When a supplier did not deliver expected components other equivalent or better components were provided to keep the project on track.

Their team communicated every step of the way, ensuring I was always informed. Remarkably, they completed the entire project within 60 days from start to finish. Before choosing Astrawatt Solar, I did a lot of research on solar panels and found the company through the panel manufacturer. They were very competitively priced and even advised me on what I needed and didn't need to keep costs down. I couldn't be happier with their professionalism and efficiency. 5 stars for Astrawatt!! There are companies that do not quote if the energy system required is small. My energy consumption was $90. Only 2 companies quoted me, a 4 kW system. I decided to hire Astrawatt and everything was predictable: 45 to 60 days for installation and 15 more days for inspection and authorization. They made all the necessary permits. The installation went well and they told me that I can add more panels when I need them because the technology they use is very flexible and allows for growth when necessary without changing what is already installed. The batteries, I'm going to wait a little to see how the system works. Thanks Bill for the advice!!

My Enphase application told me that there was a micro inverter that was not working. I called the company that installed my system and after following them for a month they quoted me a very high figure. I looked for other quotes and hired Astrawatt Solar Jacksonville for the replacement. It was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. We coordinated to make the change early on a Saturday. They complied, and everything was impeccable. Rodrigo and extremely pleasant and 100% about his customers.

I chose Astrawatt Solar Jacksonville among other companies because they advised me very well, they respected my time to make a long-term decision, a great investment. I didn't feel pressured. The installation was very neat, they left everything clean and in order. The panels look nice, all black and there were no problems passing inspection. Now I use my own energy!!
