Terrible experience

I just wanted some simple parts to upgrade my small off grid solar system. The salesman I talked to was rude, dishonest and condescending. I paid for a new inverter but when I got it home (in Utah) I found it had been previously used and did not work. I brought it back and the salesman admitted it looked like it had been used once. He later insisted it was new and unopened. He agreed to test it and if it worked I would keep it. He later called and apologized, he found out it was used and had been their floor model but insisted I installed it wrong. I went back to see if it tested ok. It had not been tested. He promised to have it tested. Another week or so later it still had not been tested. That salesman was out and I got a full refund from someone else with no problems. I think the total time was about a month. I don't know how something so simple can be made so complicated.

Very Helpful and Professional

I approached Lou and the crew at Atlasta, asking about a card I had gotten in the mail from a competitor (since gone out of business) that claimed I could save a great deal on my power bill by allowing them (the competitor) to install a PV system on my home. With a quote already from the Other Guy, I went to Atlasta to see if it was competitive. It was not. The best part of the story however, is the education I got from Lou. I gained enough confidence and knowledge from him that I decided to take it on as a DIY project. They were kind enough to design the system for me, then sell me the materials and even offer advice on the installation. It went great and the system produces all the power I use. I ended up with a defective (from the factory) microinverter and Atlasta replaced it on the spot. Very happy with Atlasta and would recommend them to anyone interested in solar - PV or thermal.
