Sunpower by Hooked on Solar

I have two PowerWalls installed by SunPower by Hooked On Solar along with a solar panel system. I was notified by Tesla that one of the PW needed to be replaced. It took 4 months to replace the PW, which they did. During the 4 months my energy bill increased significantly. In attempting to receive reimbursement for the lost energy generation, I found SunPower by Hooked on Solar to be unresponsive. I would email and not receive a response for a month. I was told that the VP would reach out to me and I not receive a response for a month. After not receiving a response, I asked again. They refused to reimburse me for the lost generation saying it is Tesla's responsibility. According to my contract and Tesla, my contract is not with Tesla, but with Hooked on Solar, as a result, Hooked on Solar is responsible. Would not recommend them.

I’ve received half a dozen proposals at this point: several from this site, and then separately from Tesla and SunPower. Needless to say, I have a good idea of what I want. I had a few email exchanges with Hooked on Solar about my requirements and getting a quote. They then called me unexpectedly and insisted that before they would share any numbers, I would need to do an hourlong Zoom call with them. This was annoying because I already knew about the product (having done one of these with SunPower directly, and a few others) and solar in general. Nonetheless, I was curious to see their quote, and so I relented. My recollection of that phone call: “Ok, fine, when can we schedule it?” “We’re available Monday-Saturday, any time from 9-6.” “Ok, how about now?” (mid-morning on a Tuesday) “Oh no, sir, it must be scheduled in advance.” “Ok, suggest a time then.” “We’re available Monday-Saturday, any time from 9-6.” “Ok, how about 11:30 today?” “Sir, we need time to prepare. Please pick another time.” “Please just suggest a time then, since I obviously don’t know how much time you need.” “We’re available Monday-Saturday, any time from 9-6.” “Christ, dude, that’s obviously not correct, since you’ve rejected both times I’ve suggested.” “Sir, you’re obviously not a customer that we want.” And then he just hung up on me, rather than suggesting a time for this mandatory Zoom meeting! Unbelievable and unprofessional.
