Next Solar

Next Solar installed 16 panels and 1 battery at my San Mateo home. The system works perfectly and makes us almost entirely off grid. Luis, Rob and Maureen are great to work with and answered all my questions. They initially wanted me to replace my main panel but I found out that it's not over capacity yet so I avoided another $5,000 of expense. We used HDM to take advantage of the commercial solar tax credit from the Biden government. The installation crew was on time and very efficient -- took them only a morning to install everything. The whole process started in July. Installation happened in September and inspection completed in October. I'm pleased with the quality and speed.

The team assigned to my project kept me in the loop every step of the way. The installation was fast and well done. Passed inspection with no issues. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

I've had a great experience with Next Solar (which I found on EnergySage) from start to finish to ongoing. From our initial consultation, the team understood I was highly focused on a cost optimized install. While they were not the cheapest, they were incredibly reasonable especially for a local installer. They had great solutions that got them onpar with large companies that had much worse reviews, especially when they outsource the work, and the panels + battery are some of the best rated brands. The installation process was remarkably smooth. On-site, the installation crew was punctual, professional, and took great care on ensuring structural integrity of the roof (especially where we didn't have an attic cavity) and cleanup. Since activating the system, performance has been inline with estimates (albeit on the slightly lower end, largely due to weather / tree coverage). Additionally, we had a remodel that should've avoided touching the solar system, but unfortunately had to due to city requirements. The team was incredibly understanding, came quickly working with our contractor to power the system down, and removing the necessary components. They also came within 2 weeks of us moving in to reinstall and power up the system--all for very reasonable added cost. I've recommended NextSolar to 3 folks and would to anyone looking for a local solar provider in the Bay.

While life got in the way of us actually buying a system, I spent a lot of time and effort shopping for solar; Rob at Next Solar was by far the most responsive and informative in the decision-making process. He took time to patiently and honestly answer my detailed questions and concerns without making me feel like a first grader, and his company had the best offer among 4 other competitors, with quality equipment. Had we pulled the trigger on a system, it would've been with his team and I encourage anyone looking at getting solar to start with Next Solar. Even if you comparison shop, I highly doubt you'll have a better experience elsewhere.

I had an issue with my solar they installed but they resolved it and offered reimbursement and took accountability for the issue. They gave me a clear solution if issues persist and offered clarity at the last follow up i had with them. besides the issues, the company did a great installation and offered a good price.

Next Solar did an exceptional job designing and installing my new solar + storage system. From Rob, whose no-pressure “sales technique” was being honest, clear, and promptly answering my million questions, to Maureen who managed the project efficiently, to Luis who knew the technical aspects inside and out, to the great crew who showed up exactly on time, completed the job in one day, and left the area pristine, I could not have had a more positive experience.Next Solar even took care of all the permitting and inspections. Like many homeowners I’ve had some bad experiences with contractors, so I was pretty anxious about doing this. After all my due diligence, including a referral via Energy Sage, selecting a solar company still took a leap of faith. In the case of Next Solar, my leap was definitely rewarded. I highly recommend Next Solar!
