Freedom Solar Energy

Freedom Solar Energy (Justin and Kasie and their team) did my 12.8kw system (Maxeon M series 425w). I have a very complex barrel tile roof. They tackled it in two full days and I was up and running. Great company, great panels. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of solar. Highly recommend. Just after my install, Sunpower filed for bankruptcy. Maxeon picked up all warranties and Justin was there to help make sure I was properly registered with Maxeon and my warranty is solid.

Purchased solar from Justin Vaughn the installation was quick communication was great I was never left in the dark throughout the solar process. He’s your guy if you want a honest company.

When first turned on about a month ago the system was cranking out power filling all my needs. About a week ago I get an error message on my app and told to call Freedom Solar. I did. The person on the phone said she would try to hook me up with the service team to get some answers. After extended hold she said she would write up a ticket. I found out the next day she couldn't get anyone and didn't write up a ticket so I had them do a ticket then. 4 days later I'm calling again. My power production is going down by half only producing 1/3 of my needs. On this call, after 2 holds, I discuss about the ticket. In her records, she is seeing that my punch list is being worked on to get the system started. In other words, she doesn't even know that my system is already working. I'm about to lose my mind. She puts me on hold again and sees another ticket that they are trying to get something happening for me. I'm on the 5th hold now trying to get the monitoring team to schedule coming out to fix the problem. I will say the person on the phone, despite not understanding what is going on, is trying to make it happen. Bottom line is this is a big financial commitment and you have to think clearly if this is the company you want to go with. I probably wouldn't do it.

After doing hours of research, and realizing that Q-Cell was the cheapest panel that money could buy, I knew Freedom Solar was offering quality instead of quantity. I opted for Freedom Solar Energy because of their choice of solar panel brand and their obvious level of experience in the industry. My installation came out perfect too! There weren't wires and conduit everywhere; all of my neighbors rave about how clean my system looks compared to other messy installs in my neighborhood. It was also fantastic that the owner, Justin, does all of the installations himself. He doesn't promise no subcontractors and then secretly use subs anyway. From the very beginning they went above and beyond. They customized the system size based on my current and future expected needs where others didn't. They even ran an ethernet cable instead of relying on WiFi when I asked. They let me know they damaged some of my concrete roof tiles and also replaced them. The install was clean and they use the best hardware in the business. We are producing a ton of our own energy now. I have been recommending them to everyone in my neighborhood.
