We completed our solar installation over 2 months now, and they are operating very well. Our electric bill has decreased over $100 dollars a month even during this shortened sunny days, cloudy, rainy and snowy season. He came to our property and did a through inspection to determine if solar would work for us, the number of panels we would need, and the placement for the panels. Since most people will be first time customers for Solar Panel shopping, it is important that you find a contractor who has an educated and experienced staff. I was impressed with Sunsent's sales and installation team. They guided me through the process from sizing to design to installation. It is important to have a team who can answer all your questions and who can recognize where you need additional education and explanations. The total time from contract signing to throwing the switch took longer than I had hoped. But when you realize that they are dependent upon local government and utility company inspectors doing their job in a timely manner, you can understand the delays. Make sure you have adequately sized your system for current and future electric demands. I had many years of electric and gas bill data to know exactly what my utility demands have been. Knowing that I would be moving away from gas appliances (HVAC, hot water heater) and moving to a heat pump, electric hot water heater and future EV charging requirement, I added additional capacity to the configured kW output.

After looking at my electrical needs, he suggested a system that would cover all of my needs for the next 25 years unless there are major changes. (electric car). He designed a solar system that will produce 110% of my current solar needs. Brandon Pinkston, and the sunset solar staff were great at answering questions, and working through all the government approvals needed when you install a solar system on your house. The hardest part of the installation was waiting for the government approvals. Once they were done, they installed the solar system in one day, electrical and solar panels. The team installed them were great, efficient and friendly. after the installation, the local electric company had to OK it and I’ll begin producing power in October my first month bill with the electric panels were the minimum you had to pay for the electric hook up. I was way more than pleased. Of course, the rest of the winter has not been that way because of the shortened daylight hour days and less days of sun. But I’m still paying less than what I would have without it. Looking forward to next year when I get a full year of summer days to go with the winter. The incentives were good. This is also one of the reasons I chose to make this investment. They said the solar panels were guaranteed for 25 years, with a life expectancy of 40. I cannot imagine having better or more professional service than what I got from John Bopp and the team at Sunsent Solar. Every aspect of the project, from initial contact through post-installation follow up has been thorough, timely and well explained. Many contractors will look for ways to cut corners and save a bit, but Sunsent took every extra step I can think of to do a great job and leave the property looking as though nothing had been done other than the new panels on the roof. Every contact I had with them was positive, and they answered questions I hadn't even thought of.
