Simply Solar

I called Egil on a Wednesday evening and within 24 hours we had a quote and we’re signed up and going solar. The install team was professional and fast. In fact, the whole installation was complete in a single day. I’ve been very impressed with both the sales team and install team.

I recently had solar panels installed by Simply Solar, and the whole process and experience with them was through the roof (pun intended). David Frank (their sales manager) was the most knowledgeable, available and responsive of any representative from any company that I have ever dealt with. Sometimes the term "customer service" is an oxymoron, but that was not the case with David. He epitomizes what customer service should be all about, and it was quite refreshing. The process with the production coordinator (Ally Basham) also went very smoothly, from the planning stages through the installation. I have been assured that their customer service does not end here, in that they will be available should any questions or issues crop up. I feel confident of their support, should the need arise. Anyone considering solar should do their due diligence and interview at least three companies. My advice would be to make sure that Simply Solar and David Frank are on that list. I suspect that if they are, chances are that Simply Solar will prevail over the others.

I had a fantastic experience with Simply Solar. They were helpful and responsive during the entire process, from the initial quotation through the installation of 21 solar panels, a Solar Edge inverter, and an upgraded main service panel, to getting set up with PG&E's Net Metering. In my process of going solar, I spoke with and received quotes from over 10 different companies. This was extremely helpful as it gave me enough data points to really understand which quotes were fair. Many of the larger companies seem to charge a premium that does not appear justified by their customer satisfaction reviews. Other companies came in with low bids, but upon further conversation it was clear these were due to undersized systems or by leaving out key components that I had requested (such as a service panel upgrade). The Simply Solar difference started with my initial call with David Frank, the sales manager. Of all the sales people across multiple companies that I spoke with, David was by far the most knowledgeable. He gathered enough information to get a sense of what I wanted, talked me through a couple of different options, and then put together a quote that seemed very fair. I had several follow up questions for David which he always answered promptly, and even after I had signed the contract David was copied on all subsequent communications I had with Simply Solar throughout the installation process. Rachel, the project manager at Simply Solar, was also great. She did a stellar job of coordinating all the site visits to my house, the permitting with the city, the scheduling with PG&E. Everything was well organized and I was kept informed every step of the way. The installation team did a fantastic job of attractively arriving the panels on the roof. The electricians did a great job with the service panel upgrade--when the city inspector came by to check out the service panel upgrade they commented on how nice it was to see quality work. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the Simply Solar team and highly recommend them.
