Sea Bright Solar

We signed a $46,701 solar installation agreement with Sea Bright Solar on April 28, 2026. The contract specified 23 Maxeon/SunPower 410W panels, Enphase IQ8HC microinverters, a Tesla Powerwall 3, and Solar Insure coverage. We have paid Sea Bright Solar a total of $23,850.50. Nearly five months later, the system has still not been installed. Sea Bright Solar’s General Manager recently informed me in writing that they still do not have the panels and microinverters we contracted for from their primary supplier and are trying to source alternatives. We were offered a different SunPower 410 system with integrated microinverters, but we were specifically told that the alternative panels would not qualify for Solar Insure. We do not want substitute equipment or to give up coverage that was included in our signed agreement. We therefore requested cancellation of the project and a full refund of the $23,850.50 we paid. As of the date of this review, the matter has not been resolved and the system has not been installed. I am sharing my experience so prospective customers understand the importance of confirming equipment availability, installation timing, warranty/insurance coverage, and refund terms before making a large payment. I will update this review if Sea Bright Solar resolves the matter and provides the full refund we requested.

Sea Bright Solar came through when I needed it most, helping me install solar panels in time to hit the 2025 federal tax credit deadline. Throughout my home search, they patiently worked with me to design multiple system configurations as I evaluated different properties, adjusting plans without hassle each time my situation changed. After I signed on, there were some delays in getting the installation scheduled, however, the team communicated with me along the way and ultimately pulled everything together in time, completing the installation and meeting the required tax deadline. Once installed, the system worked well, and when a few post-installation issues came up, their team responded quickly and resolved everything without pushback. Despite the scheduling hiccups, their flexibility, responsiveness, and follow-through made the overall experience a positive one. Highly recommend."

Margaret has been very good and responsive to all questions. Haven’t gotten the system installed yet because of NYC licensing process. Will review again once the installation finished. But as of now, the whole team is working well together and taken care of all my needs. Sea Bright is also one of the very few or maybe the only company willing to help me install the Powerwall on Staten Island. I have contacted others, including the recommended dealer from Tesla and I got rejected or no response. Thanks for taking on the challenge!

Sea Bright Solar is an excellent company to deal with from beginning to end. Right from the very beginning dealing with Margaret Petrik was a great experience. She guided me from beginning to end of the process and was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. My setup was more complicated since I already had an existing system that we added to, but Seabright was able to take care of everything from beginning to end without issue. I would highly recommend Seabright and Margaret Petrik if you are looking to go solar.

Sea Bright Solar installed a system on my house a few months ago. The whole process from initial design to installation was seamless. Their team was very professional and took the time to answer any questions I had along the way. Even though our system was turned on during this snowy winter, we saw immediate savings on our electric bills. I can't wait to see how well our system does over the summer!
