Very happy with our solar panels installed by Greenbelt. Its been over a year and so far no issues with the panels.
We got our solar panels a year ago and have been very happy. Adi installed our system, and helped to get it online quickly. Our system has 60 Canadian Solar 275 w panels and 30 AP Systems dual microinverters. I love the detailed monitoring we get on the AP Systems website. When one panel’s production dropped to 2/3 of the others, we could see it immediately and Adi first replaced the inverter, but the problem was still there, so he then replaced the panel to resolve the issue. Without the microinverters we would not have know we had a bad panel. Over the last year our utility bills have averaged just 20% of our previous year’s bills. That is very close to what Adi predicted.
It was a good investment. Since they ran out of panels, they gave us higher capacity panels for the same price. Effectively we got more KW than we initially signed up for an not extra cost. Didn't return to paint the pipes in spite of multiple reminders
The conduit has been painted to customer specifications as soon as we returned to his neighborhood. There is currently over 50 houses in his neighborhood and we are installing more, all solarized by Greenbelt Solar.
We had a wonderful experience with Greenbelt Solar. Adi was very thorough, gave us options, and helped us with every aspect of the solar installation. His workers showed that they are invested in solar energy - not just installers - and did meticulous work. I highly recommend Greenbelt if you are looking to add solar panels to your home.
Owner was very responsible and patient to answer all my questions. I shopped around among several installer, including Tesla, He offers the best price with good quality products. My panel has been working for 10 months without any issue.
Greenbelt delivered exactly what they promised--our relatively small 3.92 kW system is up and running, generating >20 kWh per sunny day on a SW-facing roof (4.5:12 pitch).
Pricing was better than any other options that I was able to find.
Adi was very upfront and honest (perhaps "blunt", but I appreciated this). Other companies seemed to often exaggerate the benefits or upsell the proposal--one actually tried to sell me on a 12 kW system which would be completely overkill for our house's low energy usage--I'm an electrical engineer myself and researched the basics enough to know better).
The installers were very friendly and explained what they were doing and how everything worked (I was probably annoying by asking them so many questions). You could tell that they cared about making everything look nice as well as putting the panels in the best spot to optimize light exposure.
One other anecdote... right after the installation was complete, our city changed its rebate policy (the new policy being better for my specific case). Despite having already been paid in full, Greenbelt actually was willing to work with me and the city to recover the extra rebate money, which I greatly appreciated (they certainly didn't have to do this and it didn't give them any additional benefit, in fact it delayed their payment by a couple weeks).
The only possible negative thing I can say about my experience was that my city's permitting and inspection process took longer than expected which delayed the install. There isn't anything Greenbelt could have done about this though, I'd assume any contractor would have the same result.
