In 2008 Hudson Valley Wind & Solar opened its doors as a family owned and operated local Renewable Energy business to promote, educate, and foremost make renewable resources possibilities for New York residents & businesses. Wind & Solar provide substantial benefits for our climate, our health, and our economy. Each source of renewable energy has unique benefits and is designed specifically on an individual basis.
As a Turnkey installation company knowledge regarding State and Federal grants and providing in-house writing services can greatly financially assist in making a dream a reality. We pride ourselves with up to date understandings of current tax credits as well as tax deductions that can be applied post installation, and be a huge benefit to our clients. We also provide financial services such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to qualifying commercial - industrial businesses & farms/ranches.
When at all possible we first look at American manufactured products for each proposed installation. We hold dealerships and put our trust in Bergey Wind Power and SolarWorld products, and incorporate when needed, local area business to support each individual project. We design, sell, construct, install, and service both Small Wind Turbines & Photovoltaic (PV) solar systems to deliver the cleanest, greenest electricity at affordable rates.
HVWE was extremely professional and organized and a pleasure to do business with. Their ability to do all facets of a solar project: planning, dealing with our town to get approvals, accessing grant money, and completing the project in a timely manner was very impressive. Our solar panels so far have provided all the electricity that we use in our on farm kitchen. Although this was a large investment, I am confident that it was a wise decision, and moves us forward in our desire to be more "green".
Great experience working with Doug, Doug Jr., & Greta. Everything went smoothly with the install. All my questions were answered in a timely manner.
The system works as they said it would, I am very pleased. The only low point was having to pay my utility company $350.00 for an upgraded transformer & the electrical inspector $300.00, these costs were not expected & seemed high to me.
