It was estimated that I would receive 7-7.5 mWhs (7,000 kilowatt hours) per year, but the first year I received 8.56 mWhrs of electricity from my solar. I was able to get credit for all proposed incentives. At this rate, my "payback" is about 3 years! Then, I will be charging my car and heating my house just about for free. Apex was great to work with.

Nine years ago, Apex installed my 13-panel system. Annually, it generates a bit over or under, depending upon snow cover each winter and has never required service on either my Axitec panels or Envision microinverters. After high wind and rains, my "30 year" roof developed a leak at only 18 years. The leak was North Side, not panel side, so it was un-related to the panels. While I worried about coordinating panel removal and reinstall with urgent need to replace roof, Apex accommodated my needs for both removal (by one day prior to roof replacement) and a few days later for reinstall. Timing was perfect and gave roofer ability to adjust for weather which he had to do. The four Apex staff I met, over the two trips, were highly professional, efficient and answered all my questions. While this was an unforeseen expense, it was not attributable to the solar panels and the cost fell within the range typical for this essential service. Fortunately, the system went back into full service without a hitch. Any production loss was negligible in this crucial spring period when we begin net-filling our annual solar bank in order to limit our monthly National Grid electric bill to an $18 meter charge. I have owned two net zero energy homes that generate all energy needs from solar/wind power. The first home was built new 17 years ago and I sold it 18 months ago to buy a used home powered by propane. Apex Solar installed 47 solar panels on my roof, and I replaced propane heat/cooking/hot-water systems with all electric systems including AC using other contractors. The panels Apex Solar, NY, installed have been in use for 12 months and I have made enough energy to provide all the energy needs for my home + my two electric vehicles. Overall, I have saved more money using solar power versus paying for conventional energy sources.

We had solar panels installed on our roof back in 2017. The product and service were excellent at the time of installation, and we expected that to be the end of it. But when we had our roof repaired in 2019 they came by and made sure the panels were okay (no charge). And again in 2022 when we did renovations that raised concerns for the integrity of the panels. Again, responsive service by qualified technicians. Now the latest: our unit had been accidentally switched off. One email to Apex was all it took to get a comprehensive diagnosis and step-by-step instructions on how to restart the unit. (Oh, and if you have any doubt about how much you're saving, just try doing without solar energy for a month while the unit is off!) We have been so pleased with Apex from the start, and their excellence continues to reap benefits for us. We recommend this company without reserve.
