Dominic and Ocotillo Solar did a great job installing my solar panels. I received multiple bids through EnergySage, but I chose Ocotillo since they used premium Panasonic panels and a SolarEdge inverter while still being very competitive with their quote. Overall, I'm very happy recommending Ocotillo Solar.

After extensive consideration of the now-several well-respected PV companies, we chose Ocotillo based on neighbor/friend recommendation and could not be happier. They get our highest recommendation. We have had many construction/remodeling/electrician etc projects at our home, and we have never worked with a more well-informed, ethical, transparent, meticulous, and quality-conscious company. They maintain true "ownership" of the project from start-to-finish, including all aspects of permissions, paperwork, on-site meetings with inspectors, etc. Unlike all other companies, you don't meet with a sales rep. You meet with the installer himself, who has tons of experience and can answer any technical question. Their contract is better than most (for example, no forced arbitration clause). They truly go the "extra mile" in everything, including little touches like painting the conduits to blend in with home, if needed.

The company is relatively small, which means they don't have to pay the salaries of extraneous folks (sales, marketing, etc) or layers of management. So, in addition to having incredible service (truly better than anything you can expect from the construction industry of NM), they also beat every other company in terms of price-per-watt.

Working with a small company that largely depends on the "boss's" personality always carries some risk, of course. But this is completely overshadowed by a painless experience, highest level of service possible, extreme technical competence, honest and transparent representations, contractual terms that are fair, and all at the lowest price-per-watt. Truly, the best contractor experience we've had as NM homeowners for 38 years.

my solar project was just completed. I was pleased with the courtesy, professionalism, quality of work and cleanliness of the overall experience. Dominic was wonderful, courteous, helpful, very personable. he explained every step of the process. his bid was accurate and he was very responsive to my questions.

Ocotillo installed our solar electric system last month, and we are very pleased with the process and the system. They use high quality components and extend the warrantees. From the initial quote to system installation, Dominic walked us through the process. It has been 3 weeks since the system was installed, and we couldn't be happier.

First quote at or below national average. This was using premium panels. Wattanty extended to 25 on all components. Dominic , was clear on product, warranties, rebates and installation timeline. Provided references. Dealing directly with owner made it easy, plus it is a local company. Will update on completion.

From the time I first met with Dominic Westeen, he was thorough in explaining his systems, products, methods, and his experience in the solar industry. He went over the various choices available in modules, inverters, optimizers and such things. Ocotillo Solar was one of the last of about 15 solar contractors that I interviewed. Dominic allowed me through the permission of the property owners to see installations that he had been currently working on. I liked his workmanship, and having worked in the electrical industry for 42 years, I knew what to look for. When I chose to do business with Ocotillo Solar, the process went smoothly and on schedule through the design and permitting. Once the design and permits were done installation began at a rapid pace and in just a few days it was complete! I would highly recommend Ocotillo Solar Electric to anyone seeking a competent solar contractor.

Ocotillo Solar just completed our installation. They were attentive to every detail of the process and made our installation seamless. Their attention to detail was terrific and I was impressed by the quality of their materials and workmanship.

Dominic of Ocotillo Solar sets himself apart from the rest of the pack because he has expert knowledge (many I interviewed (including the big name outfits) new less about solar than I did) ; has technical installation experience (since Dominic will be doing the work); is personable (since I knew we would be working together closely as a Team); and lastly Dominic is Super-Customer-Driven.....he totally will customize your installation to fit your needs for high quality workmanship, that is pleasing to the eye, at a value that will meet your budget. Bottom Line: Dominic gets it! My recommendation is go ahead and interview others all you want....but interview Dominic last....and you will realize all of the above...for sure. Brian.

Had off grid install done by this company. Needed install done on cabin. The 6kw install was done at quoted price. The job was also done quickly and was able to get answers to all my questions about care and maintenence. After 2 years the unit has no problems. Great service would use again.
