Our goal is to design, price and build systems that provide the lowest cost of ownership, and the highest level of reliability, over the project life - generally considered to be a minimum of 25 years.
We accomplish this goal by recommending a system size that is designed specifically for your needs, including:
*Present electricity usage, and the value assigned to excess solar production.
*Available unshaded roof surface, or potential for ground mounted system.
*The best components to match the requirements of your project and budget.
If you're getting quotes accompanied by financing terms of twelve years or more, just to get a positive cash flow, you're paying too much for your project. Don't. Reach out to EasTex Solar to make sure you're talking to a professional that knows solar, and HAS solar on their own home!

When you have Cal Morton from EasTex Solar bid for installing solar, he'll give you this beautiful booklet with graphs and charts detailing how much you'll save on your electric bill. I had EasTex install a system that as documented in this booklet was to reduce my electric bill by 55%. It's been 6 months since this installation. To date the most reduction in my electric bill compared to the previous year has been 16%, a far cry from the 55% promised. At first, the excuse was that we were not having as many sunny days but after a few months that excuse does not stay valid. The next excuse was that I was using more energy. But that excuse is not valid because my bill has my usage recorded and it is nearly the same as the previous year and I have done nothing to increase that usage. Cal blames the electric company but refuses to back it up with any documentation or test. My only conclusion is that Cal Morton lied to me and installed a system that will not reduce my electric bill. Heed my warning of Cal Morton and his fancy book of graphs and charts...
Having been in this business for almost 10 years, during my time with one of the largest solar contractors in the state, and since establishing Eastex Solar, I've been a part of the sales and/ or installation of hundreds of systems.
In all this time, not one customer has EVER accused me of being dishonest, or even misleading. I'm not dismissing this customer's concerns out of hand, and will continue to service his system - which we recently checked and verified our production estimates.
Almost a year into use and we can't be happier with our Solar Setup. Cal was super professional in offering us exactly what we needed without smoke and mirrors and hidden costs. Installation was handled exactly as promised with excellent components and respect for the property. The outcome for our energy use has been impressive and the system will definitely pay for itself! I would recommend EasTex to anyone looking into solar for investment and savings!
I’ll start with that we are very pleased with EasTex Solar. Cal and his team were professional and the installation was completed as scheduled. This was our first experience with Solar and Cal walked us through the process and answered all of our questions with patience and in terms we could understand. Cal personally took care of any issues we had in a timely manner.
We had other companies give us quotes but they sent salesmen to provide these and they had no experience in installation and had to keep calling back to their engineers to answer any questions we had. Cal personally came to the house with a complete printed layout of our proposed install. He answered all questions and provided a list of all equipment and expected power production to meet our needs. All this at half the cost of other quotes we received.
Overall we are very pleased with EasTex Solar and would highly recommend them to meet your solar power needs.
