Good materials. Incredible Salesmanship. Terrible implementation. Run the other way. Solar panels don't work, they weren't NEC compliant and now we have an arc fault with zero help whatsoever. Months have passed without any reply from their company. We're fans of the underdog and tried to give the "local" provider a chance -- even if it seemed a bit pricier. Chris Reilly and Don Tonic are not reliable. We gave the thumbs up at the end of April, signed at the start of May, confirmed that the June deadline of worked for them, and we didn’t have “fully” functional panels until December. We had paid in full, in July. Even then, Don Tonic, the owner and president of the company, scheduled 1on1 calls where he didn't show up. He actively ignored texts. When Don did communicate, he spent a full month repeating: "It will be finished tomorrow." What was particularly infuriating about this was that he would refuse to schedule the team to come out for two days instead of one, insisting that they would finish in one day. He did this over and over, for months. That's right: even though he was clearly wrong every single time, he continued to ignore questions, and repeat the same deaf line of "we only need one day", and then delay the scheduling that he is in charge of. We have a 10kW array that yields max 2kWh a day, despite sunny weather and lack of shade. For non-technical folks: that is very little output given the number of panels we purchased -- even when you account for facing West and a 45 degree tilt. I'm happy to share text conversations with him + pics of the array. I will say the handiwork looks great, since the panels are all black. That said, they made an extra couple of holes in the house without asking us. Their clean-up attempts were rushed because, as noted above, they hadn’t even got the panels to work. Go with the company that has a contract clause which protects your production guarantee. Or another small company. It's incredibly exhausting to have to follow up with these guys every day for just the bare minimum. In the warmest sense, it's hurtful. In the coldest sense, this is a business transaction and they are in breach of contract, and apparently, they do not seem to care. I'm giving them one star because the solar panels don't work. When they did "work", they were underproducing by Solar Plus' own estimates. Even then, the solar panel installation was not NEC compliant. A Ground fault they haven't addressed is now joined by an Arc fault. This is quite dangerous and they respond to zero emails, texts, or phone calls.

I was very specific and picky about what I wanted and how I wanted it done. Solar Plus was very accommodating and worked hard with a great attitude. They worked through every obstacle and made sure the job was done the right way. I would highly recommend them for any PV project.

They did a great job in permitting preparations and permit variance support. I wish I started the project with Solar Plus instead of them being the installer for most of the project. I used them exclusively with the increased scope of the project. The Site Supervisor was exceedingly through, customer oriented and he and the crew were a pleasure to have on my project. Both the City's electrical inspector and the utility's electrical engineer were impressed with the installation in particular the design and cleanliness of the project. I will use them for any future for any future expansion (for all aspects). Thanks to Don and his crew!

We are very please with our PV installation from Solar Plus. Don's company is small and personal. He runs the company and is also on the roof overseeing the installation. We got a great value and much better quality equipment with Solar Plus. They do a great installation job and they give you their full attention. Thanks Don!

Don and his crew did a great job on my house. He's a knowledgeable professional who takes pride in his work. As I also work in the solar field, I can attest he is one of the good ones.
