Excellence

I had my SEW perform my installation in about July 2020. They prepared me well for frustrations (like getting permission to operate). I found SEW to be reliable and to sweat the details. Their engineer decided, after I had approved the pricing of their bid, that my roof trusses required fortification. They performed the work at no cost. After installation, SEW consistently came by to ensure my array was performing optimally. My production has been excellent, and I have an entirely electric home with heat pump, hot water heat pump, electric stove and washer and an EV! My electric bill for all of 2022 was $22 and for 2023 was -$160, after accounting for SRECs. Last year I had a problem (I switched ISP) remotely reading my production and called for assistance. I found SEW personnel helpful and diligent in getting me back online. I recommended SEW to my brother who also got an install from them and I was given a referral incentive quickly. I am very happy with my install.

Don't do it!

Solar World Energy shared my information with every installation contractor, sales agency, etc. in the world. My phone has not stopped ringing with BS calls since I shared my information with Solar World Energy. Don't do it!

Very disappointed with there service

SunRun and Solar Energy World Review Terry Craig, Earleville MD Please read this all the way thru before you decide to go with SunRun / Solar Energy World. I do not recommend them! I am very dissatisfied with the service I received from SunRun and Solar Energy World. My solar panels went down on 7/29/2023 and were down for 43 days before they replaced the bad part and got me back up and operating. Listed below are the chain of events. 7/29/23- system went down 7/31/23- I called SunRun and was told Solar Energy World would get back to me in 7-8 business days 8/9/23- I called Sunrun again due to no call from Solar Energy World and was told 3 business days 8/9/23- called Solar Energy World and had to leave a message. No response back. 8/14/23- called Solar Energy World, left a message because the service person was out with no response back. 8/15/23-finally got thru and they scheduled a service call for 8/18/23 8/18/23-Service tech found the problem and ordered the new part and was told 7-8 business days for the part to come in. 8/22/23-called Solar Energy World for update on part, No response. 8/23/23-called again, will keep me updated 8/28/23-called Sunrun, they will contact Solar Energy World, no response back 8/29/23-called Solar Energy World again for update on part, no response 8/30/23-emailed CEO, I was told they are working on it 9/8/23- I put a bad review on the Sunrun web site! 9/8/23-Got a call from Sunrun, repair scheduled for 9/12/23 9/12/23-System up and running after 43 days 9/14/23-went back and forth with emails to Sunrun CEO till 9/19/23 trying to make me whole for the downtime and lost kwh produced. My contract reads they are not responsible for lost down time. I would agree with that if it only took a few days to get my system back up and running, but 43 days? I was credited two months of my monthly payments but nothing for the kwh that I lost in 43 days which came to $216 when I averaged the prior two years. First page of my agreement with Sunrun reads WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED WITH OUR WORRY-FREE SERVICE I have all the phone records and emails saved to prove my review!

Awesome Experience

Solar Energy World installed my solar in May of 2021 in NJ, and it's been doing great ever since. My electric bills with PSE&G have been reduced to $4.95 and I just have a solar payment that is about half of what I was paying to the utility for electricity. I am 2 and a half years in and am very pleased with my system!

Excessive Downtime Due to Unit Breakdown

After having unit first 5 years, my unit keeps breaking every 6 months. Recently, I was told it would take 28 weeks to have my fimer inverter replaced, that's 7 months with no solar energy! I've had to call several times because no one returns my calls. Customer service is not customer oriented at all. Quality equipment and customer service falls very short! They don't seem to care after you purchase their product. When choosing solar panels be very careful you get quality equipment and service. They are a MUST!!!

Everything they promised

I waited to write this review until I received my state and federal rebates. I did this because I was certain that something was going to happen and the rebates would fall through… but they didn’t. What’s even more surprising is that my rep was exact in giving me the rebates amounts I would receive, the timeline and the process. Solar energy world did all the paperwork and all I had to do was review and sign. They had someone who specifically handled the sales, inspection, install, and rebate paperwork and explained everything as we went along. I am hopeful that the rest (the next 30 years) of our relationship is as positive as the first. I never write reviews but I feel that this company deserves it.
