SolTerra Solar

It took a year and a half for me to start the process with Solterra to being ready to pull the trigger and they were more than happy to let me take my time. I wanted to fully understand what I was getting as well as future proofing the project and shoring up my own finances, Solterra was patient with me and thorough with every answer to each successive round of questioning. When I was finally ready to pull the trigger they set expectations that were reasonable to slightly conservative, definitely a under-promise over-deliver approach which I preferred to the alternative. Solterra took care of all the paperwork, setting up each house visit on my schedule, kept me in the loop on permitting, and was even able to squeeze me in a month earlier than expected. The actual installation took only two days for a 33 panel array. Absolutely stellar experience from the whole team, and a special thanks to Kendall for taking the time to thoroughly understand my goals and Mike for juggling an awesome electrical installation while entertaining my three year old. I will recommend Solterra again and again.

This year I've redone the exterior of my house from windows, doors. siding, roof and solar. Of all the companies I worked with SolTerra went the smoothest and the crew that came out was great to work with and explained things very clearly. My one con is because this company rocks so much they book quickly so it will be a long time from signing to install. All in all very happy with the experience and with my solar system.

After meeting with a few other companies who felt rather sketchy, our initial sit-down with Kendall felt like a breath of fresh air. He was able to answer almost all of our questions (sometimes even before we asked them), and when he didn't know the answer, he followed up afterwards with answers until we felt comfortable with all of the information we needed to make an informed decision. They never pushed financing, but made sure we knew what easy options were available. The panels they installed for us were made in Washington, and the PSE employee who came out to energize the system was very glad to see this particular type of system on the wall, and said they're very easy to work with. The folks who did much of the work on the roof were friendly, professional, and just got down to business each day, even when temperatures were soaring. The Solterra electrician was very nice, especially given that he had us looking over his shoulder for a few days since our panel is in the room where we operate our business and see customers. We got the pleasure of hearing him troubleshoot, and could hear him checking in with his senior electrician when he was occasionally unsure. This really made us feel great about his attention to detail and commitment to quality. The support we've gotten since the system was energized has been great, never making us feel like we're asking dumb questions or taking up their time. Kendall came back about a month after install to check in, walk us through everything, and bring us a few fun thank you gifts. All in all we couldn't be happier with our choice in Solterra for our solar system. We're looking forward to the next few decades of enjoying our clean energy and locking in our fuel costs!

I had a fantastic experience working with SolTerra for my home solar installation. Their staff is extremely professional and friendly. I worked closely with Kendall and Paige—both were always responsive and happy to answer any of my questions throughout the process. The installation team was also very professional and helpful, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Choosing which local installer to go with in the PNW is honestly a bit overwhelming. We are just really lucky to have so many reputable local installers. We did lots of research and Energysage was a big help narrowing down the choices. There wasn’t one particular point that put SolTerra over the top, it was just a gut feeling we got from their people. They have clear and constant communication throughout the process. Expectations are leveled early, they’re real about your project, no pushy sales pitches. If you have an issue during install, it’s addressed quickly. Want to spend over an hour on the phone asking Kendall all your newbie questions? He’s there for it. Have scheduling/project issues? Paige handled same day. Have a minor issue after PTO? Neil (Ops Director) will respond directly. Hiring contractors to do work on your home can be daunting. Lots of horror stories. You need to trust that the company drilling holes in your roof in an area of the world that rains 9 months of the year is going to at least do a good job. In our experience, SolTerra was excellent.

Solterra is made up of amazing people!! From our first interactions with Kendall to our final walk through all our questions got answer quickly and in detail. Our site visit was straightforward and concise. We had some issues with securing a loan, for unclear reasons, and Kendall went to bat for us using all the channels he had available to try and straightened out the issue. Our install team was friendly, efficient, professional, and on point with their communication. The installation itself went down without a hitch and they even took the time to wave at my kid. They cleaned everything up at the end of each day. On the last day they made sure all my questions were answered and that I knew who to call if anything else came up. On the backend Paige kept us up to date and informed. The final product is clean and working like a dream. We really couldn’t have asked for anything different and overall things went much smoother and quicker than any other home improvement project I have been part of before.
