I was very satisfied overall with my project. 12.9 KW system with no batteries. in Charlotte, NC.
The initial sales process was great. They patiently answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. They provided several references for older and new jobs/projects that they had completed.
Once I signed the papers the process was very smooth. They completed as much of the paperwork as possible and made the process very smooth. They also submitted all of the paperwork with Duke Energy to ensure I got the energy company rebate.
The installation process got off to a slow start due to rain and projects getting backed up. My installation started about two months after we projected completion. The actual installation took only one day and the crew was great and professional. The only issue I faced post-install was a single solar panel wasn't working while everything else was online. It took several months to get the one panel online, which annoyed me and took many calls, but this is my only major complaint with the whole process.
I received the energy rebate and the federal tax credit as expected. The only cost surprise was from Duke Energy, Instead of paying a $0 bill monthly (when the sun is shining) I have to pay $15/month for the Duke connection fee (not a big deal but thought it was worth mentioning).
Overall, I would do solar again and I would recommend PEG.
