This is my second system installed in 2024 by Wattson Home Energy (previously went by Energy Monster). As you may have read in other reviews, this is a pretty schizophrenic assessment: Pros: I give the teams a solid 4+ out of 5 for installation. They were fast, clean, addressed issues professionally, worked well with me, and left the site in a clean manner. Equipment - they used the Enphase system both times, and it has performed well with few issues. I also give WHE kudos for cost. At the time of installation, they beat the cost per kWH compared to anyone else. Since I knew, from my first go-round, what I was getting into, I decided that those positives outweighed the following negatives. Cons: barely 1 out of 5. Communication, communication, follow up, getting permits and permissions, more paperwork. Did I mention communication? They will not answer any phone calls, emails, or texts. Not from me, not from REC aggregators, not the utility company. I was hoping that from 2018 to 2024 they would have rectified this issue, but they have not. The name change does not mean that they have matured as a consumer-friendly business that knows how to run a functional office, but, alas, that is not the case. If I move again, I’d want solar again. I will pay the extra per kWH for a company that can figure out how to answer the phone.,

I had a terrible experience with Wattson. It took longer to get installed than initially quoted, but even after install, it literally took 4 months to get the system permitted for connection to the grid. They kept saying there were delays in permits, so imagine my surprise when I contacted my town to check on the delays and they had ZERO permit applications on file for my address. They flat out lied to me. Even after I exposed the lie, they could not seem to figure out how to move things along - I had to call the town myself to get the necessary steps and spoon feed those steps to Wattson to get the interconnection finalized. Through all of this, it was virtually impossible to get anyone to pick up the phone there to address my concerns, and at no point did Wattson ever try to make things right. I initially selected Wattson because of positive reviews on this site - but it's not the same company anymore. I learned from the installers (also note that they subcontract out the install) that came to do the work that the company was recently acquired by new owners, and they clearly have a different (and much worse) way of doing business. I will say that now that the system is installed and operational, everything is performing as expected, and the quality of the install seems adequate - time will tell if that remains the case. Getting to this point, however, was one hell of a ride, and can't recommend working with them.

I signed a contract with Wattson for solar panel installation at my house. In the first stages they do electrical design, which is essentially some drawings in a pdf and take half of the money (I paid about 18k). Then they start to ghost. They barely answer the calls, no plans for next steps after 3 months. Before getting half of the money for the easy part of their obligations, they were responsive, after that they are ghosting.

My panels were installed last year - december 2024. We are in september 2025 and the building permits are still not closed. I have sent them multiple reminders but the permit is still open.

The guys at Energy Monster did a great job. They were polite, professional, and answered all my questions and concerns. They took care of a needed carpentry job in the attic, a knee wall, at no extra charge, as well as the building permits, and provided the documents needed to get the state and federal tax breaks. The whole process took longer than I expected, but a big part was waiting for Eversource to connect my system to the grid. But all in all, it was a great experience.

They responded to every question I had immediately, I accepted their quote while most of the other companies had not even returned my requests....You won't be disappointed with their customer service!!!
