WORTHLESS

I signed up with them for a free estimate. they came to my house and sold me on their service. it has been nothing but a headache since then. they were ready to install right before Christmas but I was leaving for vacation and had a hard time getting them to wait till I returned in January. finally I got it scheduled for January. they came they started the install what was take one day to do they took 3 days to do tieing up my busy scheduled and forcing me to cancle things. then came inspection. each time the inspector came we failed the inspector came 4 times. each time we failed it would take at least 2 weeks if not more to get someone out to fix the problem. when we finally did pass Inspection they still had work to be done. mainly because after we started the project we decided to get a battery too. so here it had been over 3 months we finally passed an inspection and our battery was now in. so again they had to come out and set up our battery and hook everything up. so when they got here 4 months after the start of everything with 3 failures of inspection and one passed inspection they tell us they have to redo everything nothing was wired to plan. here came another 3 days of work just to tear everything out and put everything back in a different order. they had finally finished so we thought. here we were now at 4 1/2 months into the project and all we had left to do was have our vents sealed and someone to come to our house and show us how to use the app to track our solar. one snag they downsized one us so out of 10 different phone numbers I only had one phone number that worked. to which no matter how many times I called during the whole process no one ever answered and I was lucky if they bothered calling back. we now sit at 6 months since we started and we are still not finished. no one ever answers the phone No one ever calls me back. they make the appointment times then wait till the day before the appointment to call and tell me they are coming leaving me to clear my schedule to be available for them and one 4 occasions they were no calls no shows and I was left chasing them down to find out what happened. I have been the one in contact with them. I have been the one to call to find out if they are going to do their job. I have been the one. they have reached out to me maybe 10 times out of the 50 times I have called them and left a message. I have given them ample time to finish this project and I have given them ample time to return my phone calls. I have had to do everything and that's just not right and diffently not the way a big company should treat a customer. I don't know what their problem is but it's crap. I shouldn't have to clear my schedule and make myself availed to be stood up, ignored and brushed off. here I am paying good money for crappy service. I have no way to contact a live person with sunup America and sunup America doesn't return phone calls. I'm at the point where I'm ready to tell them to come get their equipment off my house and go with someone else. something that should have been done in no more then 3 months has taken 6 months and still is not don't not complete and I'm paying for a job that's not done.

1 star is 1 star too many!

I am extremely frustrated with the lack of professionalism and follow-up from SunUp America. I signed a loan contract on 10/24/23 & within a couple of weeks 29 panels were installed. Around 2/27/24 a company technician told me that there was something wrong with the Tesla inverter – water from the roof was running into the pipe and then into the Tesla inverter box, and that this issue would need to be resolved. The company would request a new work order to get me back on the schedule. The next communication was that a technician would be to my home on 4/1/24 – again a no show! On 2/15/24, I received TEP approval, but still nothing but unfulfilled promises from the company! In the meantime, I continue to make loan payments as well as paying my monthly TEP bill. I received an advocacy check for 1 month but nothing since. The Project Manager at the time, Anastasia continued to claim that she was in touch with accounting and that I could expect more checks for February and March – still nothing! In my frustration I left a VM for the General Manager of SunUp America in March detailing the situation and asking for his help to resolve it – and once again NOTHING!! This lack of attention is unacceptable and I am awaiting a quick resolution from SunUp America Solar or I will be filing complaints with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, the Better Business Bureau and the Arizona Attorney General’s office! I rue the day I ever considered doing business with this company – buyer beware! Saboor Hemat Tucson, AZ

No support

Sun Up installed my system two years ago. When it quit working I called them and was told that they would contact me. After three days of calling them and leaving messages. I decided to call other companies. Two got back to me within one day and had Technicians out the next day. One ( Solar Fix ) said I needed to replace some non working parts and would get back to me. The other ( Green Muscle ) simply updated the software in my control box and had me up and running in two hours. Don't bother calling Sun Up. You are on your own. They do not support the systems that they install.

Poor communication

I cannot reach anyone at sunup after multiple attempts. All calls go unanswered (10 calls in the last two weeks) and I have an issue that needs to be resolved. Do not contract with them

Buyer beware!!

Buyer beware! This company (SunUp America) is extremely difficult to communicate with and will not offer any services beyond the initial two-year installation warranty. A summary of our experience includes the following; unanswered and unreturned telephone calls, delays in the installation of the solar system and commissioning date, no service beyond the initial installation, loss of solar generation power and additional electricity cost due to the solar system frequently in a rapid shutdown state. SunUp America, inability to communicate and provide service after the sale led us to hire another solar company to conduct an inspection and restore our solar system to an operational state. This is at an additional cost, now approaching a thousand dollars to date. The root cause, SunUp America installation and use of non-rated solar circuit breakers. Selecting SunUp America as a solar system provider is by far one of the worst decisions we have ever made. We do not recommend this company and strongly advise against selecting them for any solar system installation or solar service agreements.

Worst Ever

SunUp America knocked down my swamp cooler, took over a month to fix it because they put prior appointments before us so my children had to live sick in a house 100+ degrees. Oh but they "lent us a 500 sq foot air conditioning unit" for a 1700 square foot home in Arizona in June/July. Communication is terrible. Solar panels have been sitting on my roof for over a month without being hooked up to the grid, depreciating, with no updates, and Fred threatened a lien on my home if I canceled my contract. RUN!!!!
