Efficiency is not to be expected. Run Run Run. Do not buy solar from EHS

I signed the contract for solar panels on November 1, 2022. Installation of the panels was done on December 28, 2022. It is now January 27, 2023 and the permit inspection still has not been completed, much less the approval and connection of my panels to the electric grid. The installers left a mess behind in the landscaping. But otherwise, seemed to be experienced. There has been little to no communication from Efficient Home Services throughout this process. Update- March 22, 2023, I am finally up and running! Hayden Lewis got involved and was able to get this project back on track. The management dropped the ball but did reimburse me for the additional time it took to have my system producing. In the end, all is good. Update September 2024-Efficient Home Services did not conduct a physical site inspection prior to selling me a rooftop solar system or advise me about the pitfalls of solar panels on my roof. Because they did not visit my home prior to installation they did not see the entire area surrounding my home is a wooded area with a lot of wildlife making the site unsuitable for solar installation unless a critter guard was installed to prevent the rodents from chewing the wires. Nor was I informed that installing a critter guard may or may not work and could require expensive ongoing repairs in the future, as well as quarterly inspections to avoid additional system failure. Therefore deeming my home a site that was not suitable for rooftop solar panels. The rodent problem is a well known issue in the solar industry and should be disclosed to consumers. This is a subpar standard in Florida. All solar companies should be required to do a physical inspection of the site, not a virtual one. I feel EHS was negligent in their assessment of the site when they could see all the trees surrounding the site even with the limited virtual site tour they did. For $46K the consumer has a right to expect more. My system has only been online for approximately 18 months with several calls for service regarding the tripping of the breaker, they advised to just reset it instead of looking for the underlying problem, which could have caused a fire with the wiring chewed through by rodents. Now they sent me a vague estimate of over $2,000 to rewire the system and install the critter guard that should have been installed originally. And was dismissive when I asked what brand and quality of the critter guard they proposed to install, stating it could be more if they used a different brand. EHS offers limited customer service and unreasonable wait times for service on a product of this value. If they properly disclosed the pitfalls of my site, I never would have installed the system. Update- October 2024. Still waiting for service department to rewire my system. My system has been down going on two months.

No respond no follow up after installation

After they had completed the project, their response was very weak 2 employees quit. Also found out the installer company is 3rd party not dedicated to EHS. This summer I paid $200 electric bill on September

Pathetic

Great on the front end and installing the panels. Unfortunately mine sat on my roof for over 2 months and they hadn't received final permitting nor were they turned on. I was paying for nothing.

Solar probably could not have gone much better than with EHS

These guys get it when it comes to customer service. They took their time, recommended the best products, then explained to me why they were givng me that recommendation. Hayden explained everything to me. Then once I selected them as my installer, he sent me a timeline and a schedule in order of exactly who would be calling me and why. They followed that schedule exactly. Everyone that called was truly great and professional. Brian set me up on monitoring and explained how everything worked in our system to me. Their warranty is second to none. The one thing that everyone kept saying throughout is if you have one problem along the way, you call us and we will get it taken care of. On top of everything, they gave me about a 3-4 month timeline, and came in 2 months ahead of schedule. They just don't waste any time and truly understand the forgotten quality of customer service. I am just a customer. I am not getting anythng for sharing this, but if you are unsure about who to choose as your solar installer and provider, I would chosse these folks at EHS every time, period. Thank you EHS.
