Cameron at ATMA gave fast responses and flexible options that showed they were actively involved and have good resources to pull from. We did not follow through with an install d/t short term considerations that a long term commitment could not make for a feasible venture.

Atma has high approval for a reason. We could not go forward with solar because it would require cutting too many of our trees (a few we could do but not as many as needed ). But engineers could see the issue, we were immediately notified. They were honest in their assessment and notified us immediately.

Even though I ended up deciding to hold off on solar, Christopher was always available for the questions I had & worked up different proposals. He was NEVER pushy & sent out email nudges at appropriate times. I never felt like he was bothering me! If I end up going with solar in the near future, I will DEFINITELY be contacting Atma.

We had a fantastic experience with ATMA Energy installing our solar and battery backups -- we recommend them very highly. The design process, pricing, installation, and service has been superb over the past several years. After a lot of door-to-door solar salespeople offering shady solar deals, we did some research and interviewed many different solar installers. After we settled on ATMA, the design process was smooth and comforting with knowledgeable engineers answering our questions and taking our requests into account (e.g. installing our battery backup inside our house). The installation went smoothly, and they even were good enough to run an electric line outdoors to install a car charger for us (for no extra fee)! I always had reservations on what the service would be like, but after 3 years I can say that it has been excellent! As with all things, parts break and maintenance needs to be done. Both ATMA and Enphase recognized parts which needed servicing (either broken or malfunctioning; sometimes before I noticed anything wrong), contacted me to schedule a repair, and provided quality service for no fee (most of our equipment is under a standard 20-year warranty). We have been very happy with ATMA Energy!

I was in the Solar business for many years and finally decided to put in on our new home. I came across EnergySage and loved the getting competitive quotes. Spoke to a few of them but selected ATMA and could not be happier. They took the project and ran with Rodrigo keeping me updated all along the way. The Electrician came out and installed the hardware and batteries and passed inspection first try. He was courteous and he explained how he was doing everything so I felt very comfortable. Then the panel team came out, Worked efficiently and even though we had lighting come and shut them down for the day, they were back the next morning to finish things up. CPS came out and did their inspection and powered us up. The Enphase App is great so I can see the configuration options and the production and usage real time. Happy to have gone with ATMA

Atma Energy was a good company to work with. Chris was helpful and was able to pull in other team members to answer any tough questions. Atma offered two different inverter options, as well as two different panel options. For inverters, they offered Enphase MicroInverters as well as Tesla String Inverters. I could tell they were very pro-Enphase, which was fine, but several other installers avoid Enphase due to a lack of Labor-Warranty if a micro-inverter should fail. Any while they offered Tesla, they didn't have many examples or show much confidence with Tesla. As for Panels, they offered the Rec405 and the QCELL405 (later the QCELL 425). They were the first installer I talked to, to bring up the newer QCELL model, but the higher 425 target didn't seem to affect the output since we were scoping a ~360W microinverter. I suppose general improvements in the panel would have been advantageous overall; some of that was unclear and it felt a bit like they let me assume the 425W panels would have been better beyond efficiency or degradation over time. My main constructive feedback would have been around Chris's knowledge of the Austin Energy metering setup. AE requires a second PV meter, and they don't have any net metering at all: They charge you for all you use and pay you for all you generate. This means that a battery backup is ONLY useful for outages, and does not let you save energy for nighttime or high-demand usage. It also does not allow you to avoid going up the tiered billing ladder. Chris was unaware of this and originally proposed a battery, saying it would let us avoid pulling from the grid from a pricing perspective. Overall, it was not a big deal, and I acknowledge there are many power providers out there, but not knowing Austin's setup was disappointing. All in all, I would recommend Atma Energy. We opted to go with an installer who knew Austin Energy better as well as had a more favorable relationship with Tesla since we did not think the cost of Micros was worth the ROI (our house and roof is a good candidates for String Inverters).
