Stay away from Seapoint Solar and don’t rely on reviews that may not be genuine. My experience with Seapoint Solar (Vince Imperiale) was the worst I’ve ever had with any company. They are also currently under investigation by NJ Consumer Affairs for deceptive practices. What Happened in My Case • Contract manipulation: They intentionally left out an end date in the contract — a direct consumer protection violation. Also they design their contracts such that they get to keep all your money even if they mess up. • Drastic tone change after payment: Before signing, they were extremely friendly and responsive. After they received ~70% of the payment, the tone shifted to rude, dismissive, or completely unresponsive. • Repeated broken promises: Every timeline they gave verbally and through text was missed. Months passed with zero progress until the project became impossible to move forward. • Invoice deception: They attempted to charge far more than the contract amount while deceptively calling it a small percentage that matches the contract.” Only after calculating did the large discrepancy become clear. • No action, no communication: Despite taking thousands of dollars upfront, they did nothing for months and ignored follow‑ups. • Threats instead of accountability: When I withdrew due to their inaction, they refused to refund my money, sit on it for months and threatened a lien unless I paid the remaining balance. Free big money scheme. • Refund only through my credit card company: After a full and thorough investigation, my credit card company ruled in my favor and recovered the entire amount. This company is already facing multiple civil cases. Others have reported receiving fewer panels than promised, lower‑quality solar panel equipment and similar deceptive practices. I got lucky I was out of it before getting stuck for life with anything like that. Bottom Line - Companies with such deceptive practices do not exist for too long, leaving customers stranded especially in an industry where you need to rely on them for 25-30 years. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written, but it’s an important one. I’m hoping I can help others avoid becoming a victim of their unethical practices.

Vince did not install the 68 panels & 68 microinverters as per the contract. When I questioned him, he responded to the attached text photo that he reduced the system to 48 panels and 48 microinverters, but also increased the wattage of panels to 585W to compensate for 20 fewer panels. Keep in mind, I had to question Vince about the panel discrepancy, as he never came forward with the proposed change to reduce my panels and wattage. When I inspected the model # of the installed 48 panels, Vince actually installed 435W panels, far less than the contracted 585W panels. At the time of the township inspection, Seapoint Solar lied to city officials and showed the electrical inspector a set of plans that were not approved by the township, so he could match a completely different installation of 48 panels. The township has identified these issues and is taking the necessary steps against Seapoint Solar. CHECK ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT EVEN IF THE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE AND DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Seapoint Solar is the most unethical company that I have dealt with in my entire lifetime. The owner Vincent Imperiale is a pathological liar who schmoozes you into buying his poison. He will promise you the panels and inverters which happens to be on the official contract that you agreed upon and happen to sign officially but instead installs the cheapest product that he can profit off of. He has not only done this to me but also to two of my family members and two of my closest friends that I referred him to. He is currently under investigation by the NJ AG's office which I implore anyone reading this to call and confirm. I would stay away from this entity even if my life depended upon it.

Watch out folks!!!! A TOTAL FRAUD company. Caught Vince the owner of Seapoint Solar installing cheap inverters and Chinese PV Panels on our PV Project. Contract called for Enphase Inverters and Solaria Panels but instead he was installing cheap products. Had to kick him out of the project after catching him multiple times with his sub-par work attitude. I personally know 5 people that he did the same for their PV Project. Currently under investigation by the Attorney General of NJ and Chester/Monroe Twp for Fraud.

Start to finish they did a great job Our first electric bill after getting solar was $2.44 , That same bill last year was over $300

Knowledgeable Staff from their back office to the installation guys on the roof. Very satisfied with our decision to go with Seapoint solar
