I paid a several-thousand dollar deposit in late February for a solar project. I was thrilled about the project value and got along well with Ryan. Although I told the lead time was 6-8 weeks, I kept having to check in with the team about when the project would happen, instead of them reaching out and letting me know the timeline. The project was not scheduled until late June, at which point I needed to reschedule due to a planned vacation. Then, the project was further delayed to late July. They seem like they have overbooked projects. Maybe because I am in Austin, it was hard to schedule since their base is in DFW. I decided to cancel rather than to continue to deal with this project. I did receive my refund and some lost interest.

Overall, I had a great experience with Texas Solar Professionals and would absolutely recommend them—but I want to be honest that the process wasn’t completely perfect from day one. We did have a bit of a bumpy start early on with communication and setting expectations. That said, what really stood out to me was how the team responded. They took ownership, stayed engaged, and made sure things got back on track—which, to me, says a lot more about a company than a flawless start ever could. Once we got moving in the right direction, everything improved significantly. The installation process was smooth, the crew was professional and respectful of my property, and the quality of the work speaks for itself. I also have a more advanced setup than most, including battery storage and bidirectional EV integration, and they were able to handle the complexity without treating it like a standard install. That was important to me, and they delivered. From install through PTO, they stayed responsive, answered my questions, and made sure I felt confident in how everything was set up and performing. At the end of the day, no project like this is ever completely without hiccups—but it’s how a company handles those moments that matters. Texas Solar Professionals showed that they’re committed to doing things right and taking care of their customers, and that’s why I’m giving them 5 stars.

I reached out about a possible solar expansion project. Ryan initially provided helpful information, but after reviewing the basic details, the company declined the project without explanation. I respect their decision not to take the job, but I would have appreciated a short explanation. This review is only about communication, as no work was performed.

I highly recommend Texas Solar Professional! Installation took place summer of 2025. I found Texas Solar through an Energy Sage request for solar bids. Texas Solar quote was competitive and straight forward. There was no pressure or gimmick sales tactics with the quote process which is rare to find! Ryan and his team took care of permits with the city and much more. We even had an issue just prior to installation with hail which caused issues with our roof. We were able to coordinate repairs through his roofing division which ensured installation timeline would not be impacted. The install team was very professional and efficient! I had questions after installation and Ryan was quick to respond to ensure my questions regarding the system were answered. It is scary to embark on a major home project but rest assured you are in safe hands with Texas Solar!

I am very happy with Texas Solar. They were, and remain, very responsive to my questions and very accommodating for scheduling. I picked TSP initially because they offered the lowest price and they have delivered more than expected. I would hire again.

Ryan and his team with texas solar professionals have been absolutely the best hands down. From start to end. They beat all quotes I had and have great customer service through out the entire experience and install. I highly recommend them. Start with Texas solar professionals and just save yourself time and money! They are the best!
