Steve Whitman Solar, Roofing, & Siding

I am quite dissatisfied with the experience I had with Steve Whitman Solar & Roofing. I have a contract with them that was signed since more than 2 months ago yet zero progress has been made on my project since then even though they have my 10% deposit check on hand. I have never felt so ignored and undervalued as a customer. How is it acceptable for them to be comfortable providing clients with no updates? I have been bounced around from one sales rep to another sometimes going weeks without hearing anything and when I do hear something, it’s to promise me a phone call that never came. I understand that their vendor sold my panels but 2 months later, no updates, no progress. I was excited to work with a small business, but would recommend that you stay away from this company.

Very professional company with good knowledge and understanding of the process. Worked quickly to get the project done and deal with township hassles with permitting and approvals. Would highly recommend.

Our roof and solar panel system installed looks great and has certainly added value to our home. Of course we enjoy saving money on electric bills! Such a big project is daunting to average home owners like my wife and me. We started out knowing nothing about everything! After meeting with several companies that do these types of projects, we chose Whitman. One reason was that our research of various companies showed me that Whitman was one of the best; a long time in business with a sterling reputation. And local. A NJ company rooted here, paying taxes here, hiring high quality professionals... right here. Well, that matters to us. What closed the deal -- rather, quite literally WHO -- is Dave Kawczynski. There was no pressure. (What a relief after being talked at by others.) And he was so educational. We learned everything necessary to make an informed decision. No hype or empty promises. Along with Matthew Cruz, they gave me a solid deal. Andrew Ludewig stayed on top of the many steps in our solar-electric project. The rest of the team are highly competent and treated us really well too. Julie Criscuolo, Lindsay Fischer, and Melissa Whitman took care of a lot of stuff along the way. I don't know their full names, but good job by Tom who oversaw roof project. He gave me a lot of tips and advice. Electricians Travis and Will not only did a great job, but also put a very positive face on Whitman.

We used energy sage to collect quotes, which was a great advantage to us. We chose Whitman Solar and Roofing, who gave a good price with good equipment. They handled all the work from permitting to cleaning up the site without any delays and in good time. They did a great job, and I highly recommend them.

Very responsive. Quick. Good work. Friendly staff. I would recommend to others looking for solar or a roof. Happy with Steve Whitman.
