Hannah Solar

My friends own a restaurant in Savannah, Ga. They had Hannah Solar install solar in 2017. Their system hasn’t produced any electricity in 7 years and Hannah will not send anyone to fix it. I was asked to come take a look and see if I can help. It was quite literally the worst electrical work I’ve ever seen. There were no permits pulled, there wasn’t even an AC disconnect anywhere. The electrical work was done with electric tape, which has now disintegrated. One of the panels appears to have caught on fire. The electrical wiring was never ran to the meter, after further investigation the wiring is running to the back of an HVAC unit on a 50 amp breaker. To put this in plain terms, this system would have never worked, and if it did, it would have burned down a multi-million dollar restaurant. Please do not use this company.

Avoid at all costs. I purchased a PWRcell ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM FROM GENERAC system from them LY ($45K). The salesperson made grand promises that they did not honor. One promise was that we would have to "use more energy" to keep up with the production of the system. Some basic promises were that the system would support my power needs and provide temporary (12hrs) of battery backup in the event of power loss. We've had a painful installation process with them, including three after the fact visits to reinstall incorrectly installed portions of the project. The individual installers were either untrained or lacked communication and guidance from Hanna. When they finally "fixed" the problem it was a newly hired master electrician (first day on the job). So no, after tracking YoY power savings, we have none. Literally no change to my YoY consumption and spend on our electric bill with the PWRcell ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM FROM GENERAC installed. After multiple contacts with Hanna solar they have nothing (no response). I even escalated to Hannah's CEO (Peter Marte) with ZERO response to address the issue. If you want to experience solar for the first time and truly feel like it is a boondoggle, use this company. Otherwise, stay away. Read reviews where you can and see similarities, in this case, they are accurate...

Very poor customer service. They had installed a solar panel system at a home I purchased, but when I needed service they were impossible to reach to trouble-shoot or schedule a repair visit. Left repeated voicemails and sent several emails to multiple people and never received any type of reply from any of them. Would not recommend doing business with this company.

We signed up for a residential solar install at my Acworth home and our Tennessee cabin. Matt was the salesman. Nate was our project manager. It was supposed to be installed Feb 16. When that date came and went with no call or email, I called Nate and got no response. Concerned about missing this start date, I also contacted the President of Hannah, Peter Marte. He apologized and assured me it would be installed April 1. When April 1 came around, again with no call, email or text message from anyone at Hannah I was very disappointed. I called Peter again, and he apologize and said they got a bunch of Tesla Powerwalls that had to be installed. He said they didn't even have all the materials necessary to do our PV install. At this point I had lost all confidence that our PV install would be completed and asked for a refund. it has now been two weeks since that conversation with Peter and he won't return my phone calls. I still have not received the deposit. I would not recommend Hannah Solar and plan to pursue legal action to get my deposit refunded.

I received a quote from Hannah for solar and powerwall 2. I asked why the price was double for the installation of the powerwall and double the price Tesla was charging for the powerwall. I got zero response. Trying to milk potential customers is not a good way to run a business. Definitely stay away.

What started off as a good experience turned sour with Tesla Powerwall issues. Coordination between Hannah and Tesla prolonged things, and although Tesla ended up replacing everything associated with their Powerwall, I was seeing power bills exceeding what I had before Solar was installed. Although I let Tesla know Hannah was not responsive in sending someone to figure out why, a bad review is my only way to express disappointment at having installed a solar/Powerwall system and not seeing anything close to a return on investment. I even escalated to Hannah's CEO (Peter Marte) with ZERO response. Honestly I didn't think I'd get 100% return back, my investment in Solar was for the environment too, but I expected some return. And a company to do business with that was responsive to ensuring their customer was seeing the return on investment they promised when they sold me the system. Buyer beware - or look at another Solar company.
