During our evaluation period (we had 5 bids), Kevin Poole and his Adaptive Solar team established themselves as our No. 1 choice vendor, for several reasons. Their proposed solution clearly was most competitive in the areas that mattered most to me -- technical excellence and financial considerations. What set Adaptive Solar apart from the others was the sense of partnership that I developed with Kevin. As a result of his patience with me (through all my questions!) and his "I'm here right now!" instant responsiveness, I felt that I was in very good hands with Adaptive. Ultimately, we decided to no-bid. My wife and I are approaching retirement, and we decided that we needed to postpone a solar decision until we had better visibility into where we will be living post-retirement. If we remain in the Houston area, we very likely will be reaching out to Adaptive to re-start the evaluation process.
