ARE Solar

I put on a 16kW system on my house with ARE and they were great to work with. There was some uncertainty during the process, due to vents on my roof, whether we would be able to fit the full 16, but they figured it out and the system has been running great since installation.

When I did my solar install, I sent off requests for bids to more than a dozen companies, some local and others national. I did a lot of research. At the end of the day, I settled on ARE. They came up with a very very competitive bid, a unique design that maximized roof space, premium materials/panels, offered a quick install timeline, and they didn't bury into the price a ridiculous finance charge. I was so happy with ARE and the final product on my primary residence in Allenspark that I hired them a few months later to do a second installation on a rental property in Estes Park. I've made numerous recommendations in the year since. These guys are the real deal. End of the day, my utility bill is simply the connection fee of $25/mo and the solar installation powers my house and my car. Couldn't be happier.

In these days of poor quality and 'slacker' customer service, it's rare to find a group that does well on both accounts. We originally had ARE Solar install our first system, but when the Marshall wildfire burned everything our house had down, we immediately turned back to them. Before the fire, their service and cost of repair (squirrels) was fast and reasonable, accomplished by people who really knew what they were doing. And before the fire, the system performed flawlessly for 7 years. This time we built it back with a battery system, and have now been living in it for a year. The product is superb, reliable, and does what I expect it to do. And pretty to look at. The new battery system takes us to a new level, giving us round the clock electricity and positioning itself as a backup in case the power goes out, with power being available for our 'critical load', e.g., freezers, chargers, fridges. We are delighted with our system, and what that means for our pocketbook.

Highly recommend ARE solar. Stu gave me the best quote for a residential solar with no batteries. He was willing to work with me to make changes to the system until I was happy with it. We scheduled the install and it happened a few weeks earlier than initially planned. The work to get the system approved, interconnect approval with Xcel etc happened without any delay. Installers came in and did the wiring in my attic, all of which took about day and a half. Post install and electrical work, inspections went through with no issues. The system has been running for a few months now with no issues and the production has been meeting my expectations.

Very good customer service and price. We had good communication through out the process and the timeline was both clear and was followed through with. Still having issues with Xcel, but the panels were installed as promised and are producing as expected.

Really, I can't say enough good things about my experience with ARE Solar in our home solar installation. From start to finish, their interactions with me were knowledgeable, competent, and thorough. I got great advice and explanations in the planning phases, numerous updates as we moved through the permitting process, and plenty of advance warning in preparation for the installation work. Everyone connected with the project was friendly, communicated well, and a pleasure to work with. The system is producing as expected, and it was great to turn the switches on. This is the way it should be--I am grateful.
