Kilo Hollow Energy

I had an excellent experience with Killow Hollow Energy. Killow Hollow offered a competitive price to design and construct a 26.1 kW solar array in my field. From the beginning, they were very easy to work with -- responsive, prompt, transparent. They worked with me to design a system large enough to power my entire house and to situate the array on our property for maximum power generation. Soon before construction began, they fine-tuned the array based on my feedback and a thoughtful re-think of constructing an array on a hill. Kilo Hollow handled all of the permitting and, once the permits were issue, they constructed the array within days. They also helped me to sign up for SRECs. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone contemplating installation of a solar system.

We are late getting this review in, but wanted to make our voice heard. We had been wanting to add solar to our house for a few years. With the announcement of the new government incentives, we jumped into it last year. We received many quotes and had appointments with several companies (some of them never showed up). We selected Kilo Hollow Energy out of Richmond, Virginia. We wanted to go with someone who was local. William Branch, the owner, is an exceptional example of someone who cares about his business. He held our hands throughout the process, answered all of our questions and is very knowledgeable. We replaced our roof prior to the installation. Our roofing company came out after the solar installation and commented that it was the best solar installation he had ever seen. We chose Kilo Hollow Energy and we are very happy with the results

We selected Kilo Hollow from Energy Sage based on their detailed, personal and educational approach to this large purchase. We purchased a 40+ panel array with a battery back up. It was spec'd out and installed in a manner that kept our needs, schedule, and aesthetics prioritized. Communications were top notch and the team adjusted as we hit issues and did what was right to get the best result for us.

I had a lot of questions about what I was getting in to with solar. Other companies will try to convince you to go with them because of their superior price or some high level sales job. William spent over 5 hours talking to me not just about the price but the product, options, and equipment, how it all works and why that is the set up that was right for my house. And this was all before even signing a contract to proceed. William kept me informed every step of the way (even when things had not progressed just to let me know where things stood). During install, he and his team were fully engaged with me for any minor change to the install plan or 'tweaks' they might have to make. Totally professional and engaging before contracting, during the permitting phase, and install phase. I was worried about what I was getting in to, but William and his team were amazing every step of the way.

From my first phone call with William Branch, owner of Kilo Hollow Energy, I felt like I had finally found a solar installer that I could trust to give me straight answers. All the other 7 companies I had interacted with, either didn't have knowledgeable salespeople, were pushy, or offered lower quality equipment or a smaller size system to look like the "low bid". I was making an investment in my home and wanted to install a good quality system. But I also wanted to have a "good quality experience" with the process. With Kilo Hollow Energy, I got both. I highly recommend!

Kilo Hollow installed a residential rooftop solar system only for us via EnergySage as the conduit. The folks at Kilo Hollow, especially their president, is extremely passionate about the solar energy sector and it was evident how much pride they have in their process and product. From the get-go, the company was very responsive to all questions and communicative of status of various steps throughout the engineering and build cycle. They were happy to customize the quote and end product for my desires. Once the build was finally underway - they took extra time during the install to ensure a quality finish and were sensitive to the cosmetic considerations of the panel installed locations. Everyone brought onto the job site were very courteous pros at their respective jobs.
