SGE Solar (Second Generation Energy LLC)

I worked with Matt on multiple quotes over the course of more than a Month as I decided if Solar was right for my parents home. Ultimately my elderly parents decided it was to much trouble and not the right decision for them and we didn't move forward. Matt and his team were still a pleasure to work with through the quote process and to talk to about their service

Dave was great to speak with. I came to him with an issue and I didn’t feel any pressure to pursue a purchase. He gave me tangible solutions to my issue and I really appreciate his support. He was also available as soon as I reached out.

Started the solar process late in the year. After a couple visits to take photos for the local permits (which took a while) things went pretty smoothly, weather permitting. I managed to complicate things by having other electrical work done at the same time, but that all worked out fine. Their email responses were quick and informative, the electricians were clean , timely, and nice to chat with about the setup. Other companies may be larger and faster since it was a 2 man crew, but this went well, seemed more organized and done right rather than as fast as possible. Would recommend them to anyone.

Dave was far and away one of the better sales reps I spoke with during my search. I think I spoke to 10-12 companies, and Dave was the most informative and patient in helping me understand the pros and cons of different solutions. We ended up going with a different company due to a personal recommendation, but had we not gotten that we likely would have considered SGE solely because of Dave's patience and expertise.

We are very pleased with the 16kW system SGE installed for us about 18 months ago. Our sales rep, Steve, did a great job designing a fairly priced and properly sized system for our house and the SGE install team got the racking and panels set up on the roof very quickly leaving us with a great-looking array with thoughtfully run conduit. Eliminating our electric bill has been very satisfying, we feel this has been a solid investment.

Go with SGE/Second Generation Energy, and talk to the owner Matt S. They are a smaller company (lots of attention for the little customer like me, DIFFERENT than the big national companies), helpful, and will not hard sell. They even talked me out of a few things I thought I needed. I checked their prices on Energy Sage, vs 6 other competitor companies, and they were the best price, even with the best equipment (I went with the Q/Cell-QTron 425 panels, as well as the Enphase 8A inverters, which I liked better than the 8M's or 8+/Plus's) . They explained everything throughout the process. They got the permits, and the installation went flawlessly (and quickly too - not a long wait at all to get this done). Smaller local company, and has been in business for 17 years I believe (so they are doing something right for sure, to last that long), and they are not so big that they only give you attention at the beginning of the process = they are SUPER all the way through, AND even after the sale. I am a VERY picky customer, and I highly recommend this company (SGE - call Matt @ 508-377-4037) - he is one of the owners, and he is not a hard-seller, and sounds like an Engineer to me. It has worked out really well for me so far!
